I cannot stress how fucking insane this AQ quest was for lore lovers. Fontaine emotional resonance was still far more compelling to me, but the sheer scale of the info and lore drops in this AQ was so dense and dope it rocketed up my favorite AQ list, and then combine other factors like just the scale of the bodies dropping, and it's straight up my 2nd or 3rd favorite AQ to date, which is god damn impressive given THIS WAS A MID-ACT AQ, THIS WASN'T EVEN THE FINALE!

The Natlanese Abyssal war was beautifully crafted that it makes The Inazuman Civil War looks like two brats fighting over a candy Both has like the same scale, but Inazuma AQ did a poor job showcasing that I would say, the use of gimmicks here was excellent, I love how they let us see the number of active monsters and casualties (despite being arbitrary numbers, they did a good job showcasing the scope of the entire abyssal war)

It would be weird considering we still have the Abyss, and more importantly "Gosoytoth", who needs to be purged from the Night Kingdom. One of the thrones in Celestia was also destroyed, yet nobody reacted to it. But who knows, they can make up anything they want, thats why Genshin's story is so hard to predict. The only hint at Capitano being from Khaenri'ah was pretty much the indigo blue-like colors on his clothes, and they intentionally mislead us with his nightsoul blessing "lookalike" flying ability when he fought Mavuika, so the most logical theory was him being from Natlan, which would have explained his motives as well

Still too wholesome. Simple war strategy. I know Capitano and Mavuika had to take up strategic positions, but the rest of the warriors needed to put up a defensive line, they had offensive Saurians and charms but no traps set in place. Phlogistons everywhere but not put to good use different tribesmen can cover for each others' weakness. but no.. Feels to me that Natlan's answer is just throwing bodies at the problem, also Traveler didn't do jackshit this is the wild feral Abyss attacking and they were aided by an large army from the neighbouring country (the Fatui) the whiplash we get when we (as the Traveller) 1. Slaughter an entire tribe of warriors at equal standing of a tribe of Natlan (with Jeht) 2. We fight 3 lawachurls, 4 mitachurls at once in Spiral Abyss 3. We fight living gods TWICE 4. love to boast how we've bested dragon(s) 5. went head to head against the Abyss + the more organized Abyss Order every AQ so where's the battle experience? Capitano said not to trust Mavuika's plan since she could be wrong but we didn't intervene? Even in the cutscenes themselves I could see how Traveller could have wasted all those Abyss troops at once but didn't, were they thinking, "Natlan isn't worth it haha"

@dohnaseek I'm not talking about the so-called Inazuman "civil war, I am talking about Inazuma's last war with the Abyss during the cataclysm 500 years ago (Raiden Shogun story quest II) Kokomi and Kujou Sara can play hopscotch for all I care, but if the Pyro Archon and her 6 warriors and all the warriors that inherit Ancient Names have the memories and experience from 300 years ago, why was this knowledge not used to protect the civilians? I mean sure, you know how to deal the killing blow to the Abyss in your region, why was there no plan to evacuate en masse in case of emergency? They know the Abyss's tactics, they should have a Saurian cavalry to mobilise at the first sign of danger. Like, the People of the Springs should have done it way back in 5.0. And a lot more contingency plans should have been drawn up for a nation directly targeted by the Abyss. The Natlan people just needed to wait for Mavuika to charge up, they didn't need to be on the open field or trapped in their houses. That mother and daughter, the Fatui soldiers, the Yumkasaurs and the messengers could have been safer inside a few select bunkers protected by the best warriors and and more lives need not be shed. Then use wards and purify the Abyssal corruption afterwards Also yeah I saw Traveler use more elemental powers when destroying rocks headed for Poisson then the monsters at the stadium
