As usual... high quality supports would still sit on the top and DPS would just sit not too high but not too low on the meta (with exceptions for Neuvilette and Arlechino). Xilonen and Citlali are the candidates to be on top and be able to support outside of natlan characters.

Furina worked because a healer is a class common in most team comps. For Mavuika, you have to go out of your way to pull for specific units of a specific nation to reliably gain access to half her kit. Personally, I think I'll get better mileage by waiting for a Xilonen rerun instead.

Normal attacks are also a class common in most team comps. What would work for Mavuika among normal attackers would be a chainsaw wielding Normal Attacker that attacks multiple times a second, to help gain more fighting spirit. We already have chainsaws in game. Portable Saw the HP claymore and the weapons that the Natlan enemies used.

Im glad to see someone else actually showing concern for how limited she is with her thriving in ONLY natlan based teams. Like sure you CAN play her in non natlan teams, but you arent going to if you want to get the most out of her. It feels really weird that they would restrict her like that considering shes an archon and they have basically all been usable in a very large variety of teams. Thats kind of the whole selling point of an archon. Other channel comments ive seen have been fanboying for her so hard that they dont want to see the issues blatantly in front of them.

Chasca only cares about Ororon, but he isn't anywhere near a must-have for her teams. About exploration, Kinich is still amazing (I have him, he's my favourite unit for exploration, even though I have Wanderer, Xiao and Xianyun); Mualani is an amazing option to replace Furina if you don't have her, Xilonen is amazing for anything climbing related, same applies to Kachina to a lesser extent; Chasca is Chasca, she overcrept Wanderer (both have awful vertical movement though...). In short, you're wrong.

I am gonna be straight, they are just forcing players to pull for new characters. Nightsoul mechanism, world explore ability of new characters and even the artifacts. Other Natlan characters are required in Mavuika team in order to charge her special burst. The new monster that will absorb your burst energy but won't affect Mavuika. All of these are parts of the plan.

To me it looks like they tried to make her like Acheron ngl and they kinda failed Acheron's burst doesn't use energy, it charges through debuff application but debuffers are a class that you mostly acquire as you play the game for more time (pulling and overtime you end with some 4* Nihility character which are already few) Meanwhile Mavuika's burst doesn't use energy, it charges through NightSoul points but that's something EXCLUSIVE to Natlan characters which AREN'T A CLASS that while you can pull, you can't acquire by generally playing the game for a long time

The problem with Natlan characters in general (except for Xilonen and maybe Citlali) is that they are glued to specific units; so if these units are shit for the abyss your natlan chars are also shit. I personaly will go for arlecchino instead of mavuika just because shes not glued to one specific unit and has way higher teamflexability so im not wasting a 5 star on my account when i plan to use xilonen for another team and citlali is bad for an abyss. So if shes not exceeding arlecchino dps by like 20+% shes not worth in my eyes

Citlali does provide 12% (or 20%?) Pyro res ignore and a nice cryo application, while also having access to cinder city. But it really depends on your existing team, whether it will be a buff or just a replacement.

problem is that Mavuika has been soo hyped up, that alot of F2P decided to pretty much skip every natlan character, INCLUDING Xilonen (especially if they already have Kazuha) to save for Mavuika... only to find out now that Xilonen is her best support... and on top of that Mavuika is more of a main DPS than a support/sub-dps like everyone expected an Archon to be, followed by her restrictive burst mechanics which makes her even less F2P friendly... i'd say Hoyo did indeed screw over the F2Ps... but ironically, since F2Ps don't contribute to Hoyo's bottom-line, it won't affect sales soo doesn't seem like hoyo really cares... 🤷 if you pulled ZERO natlan characters, everyone does have kachina and pyro traveler, you'll have those 2 to enable her burst, Kachina can use cinder city, plus pyro traveler will activate pryo resonance, it isn't ideal, but gota make do with what you have. I'm personally looking forward to it, and I won't mind losing the 50/50 on the weapon banner to Citlali's weapon (one can hope) since I'm pulling for the both of them

Citlali is her best support, unless you have some fetish for an extra +5% debuff damage and rock crystals at the expense of MELTING FACES OFF. There's a reason they're on the same banner. Xilonen copers not able to realize Xilonen's strength was four-color debuff coverage and healing, not her numbers especially. If they make any four stars even half of Chevreuse's power, she'll be reduced to a meme for those teams.

@@everythingisterrible8862 Citlali doesn't even compare when it comes to fighting spirit generation for Mavuika, she's also more synergistic with more characters compared to Citlali, i'm not sure why you even brought up Xilonen's damage since I said SUPPORT, which means her def shred, healing, her near instant nightsoul point consumption which translates into insane fighting spirit generation for Mavuika, allowing her to consistently burst, since Xilonen alone gives 115 fighting spirit Citlali can't even apply cryo if she doesn't have enough nightsoul points, so you have to skill AND burst every rotation, so good luck trying to melt if she isn't able to recharge her own burst after every rotation Citlali is much easier to replace compared to Xilonen for Mavuika

The only real thing I dislike about Mavuika's kit is the failure to have 100% uptime. Yes, the downtime is very small, but it still exists, and it still is something no Archon fails at. Not even Furina, and she canonically never was an Archon to begin with.

This is what I want to know. Is her Fighting Spirit treated like Energy that can just go to 200? Is the rate of Fighting Spirit gain affected by Energy Recharge, or can that stat be ignored entirely for building her? Is she treated as having 0 Energy for mechanic purposes? That would affect the damage that vishaps can do, or contribution to Raiden's chakra meter, for example.

I just feel that Hoyo will get away scott free by making an Archon rely on a limited region mechanic and specific 5 star characters to activate the Archon's full potential. Because imagine if they make many another six characters like this? You need to pull another 5 star character after 5 star, because there's no decent 4 star to compensate for the mechanic. If Hoyo did it in Inazuma for a non-archon, ppl will easily skip. But now that there is a precedent and ppl will still use Wallet-kun, Hoyo can repeat the process. But that's actually smart on Hoyo's part.

I know this a longshot but the reason we get two Natlan 5 stars together is because Hoyo knew anyone who just wanted the Pyro archon and had no other Natlan unit will get mad since you might not get the full extent without at least one other unit. Solution - you give players a chance to get the 2nd unit anyways. (Greedy yes but another fix could have been a simple kit which works with energy). I wish we go back to simple energy-based units without any extra mechanics. I am not counting Kachina (Only free 4-star unit that we got) tbh since she does not work very well with On field Dps units.

Poor, poor Diluc. Man's only ever been a newbie character, when you don't have any recharge and his 40 energy burst is fun to use. (And reactions make up a bigger % of your damage before you're able to farm for artifacts.) It was always funny watching videos of solo Diluc vs solo Fischl fighting a boss. The poor man has to use like four seconds of field time just to deal less damage than a Gouba.. I really hope they continue to do better for the new standard characters.

Definitely not FOMO, more like none of the characters make me want to pull. They are just so goofily designed in gameplay. So goofily that not even the story acknowledges their gameplay. In story cutscenes they fight with weapons. But in gameplay? Natlan biggest issue is that outside of the region their niche is pretty limiting. Exploration advantage? Only on Natlan. Had Mauvika been given the passive to allow Natlan units regenerate their energy outside of Natlan, that would’ve solved a lot of issues. You probably actually never played those Natlan units outside of Natlan cause they are still on par or better with the rest of the cast. Chasca pretty much just beats Wanderer in the flying department, and Kinich Zipline has every other instant teleport character beat. The only thing that can't be beat is Furina's water walking compared to Mualani's water walking cause Furina pretty much has 100% uptime with it minus the speed.

Will probably pull but not really excited, future proof wise the best natalan units are Xilonen and Chasca in my opinion, but Mualani, Kinich will also be fine for those who don't have/want to use Neuvillete and our favourite scholar. Citlali looks like a better pull for me personally, I own all other Pyro units in the game after all one more DPS or applicator ain't going to change much for me, Pyro traveler also looks to be able to apply Pyro off field so at least we got something exciting to look forward to testing. The Liyue 4* is looking nice on paper, her shields applying to the PECH elements is awesome on paper.

That's not an Arlecchino thing, that's a teambuilding thing. Mauvika has the same problems PLUS the fact that she needs Natlan characters. That's why people say that she's not flexible. I think almost everyone forgets that Kachina exist after 5.1 😂 I guess people could just simply using Mavuika with 4pc Obsidian Codex alongside Kachina with 4pc Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, and for the two remaining unit they can just throw Benny boy in there and then for the last spot just use Kaeya/Rosaria/Layla for off-field Cryo applications or Furina/Kokomi for off-field Hydro off-field application.

It's such bullshit that Mav and Citlali are on the same banner. The only good thing about it is if you are pulling both, the weapon banner may be a bit less risky. Still... I'm feeling like I'm about done with this Hoyo BS.

I don't think Arlecchino would be powercrept by Mavuika though, since remember she has proven herself to be the strongest even with or without a team... while Mavuika here based on her kit she has to rely more on her Natlan teams(or just other non-Natlan teams) to get her ult... so yeah imagine this, If Arlecchino is already stronger on SOLO then with a team she is ba even better... while in Mavuika's case "What happens if she is used on solo play though?" But well that's only my opinion though, at the end of the day this is still a single player game, you can still both use them at the same time for more battle power

Arle aint restrictive. Mavuika will only powercreep her if the latter has full natlan team (citali, xilonen..not some other random natlan character). If mavuika has 1 or no natlan teammates, arle is stronger.

Ahh... The nightsoul aligned attacks that made the shield mechanics on enemies that can only be severed "fast" by using it to them... Then to charge up an elemental burst now? Oooh, what a "parasitic" design... Now i can't wait for a new enemy that will nullify non Nightsoul aligned dmg for a whole phase until it gets enough nightsoul aligned dmg 😂 I did not get any Natlanese dps characters but only got Xilonen at C2... I think she's gonna be the only Natlan character that has the most pull value aside from Kinich, tho I dont have him. He's also f2p friendly especially if Pyro Trav becomes available for scroll set buff, then just use Thoma and Yaoyao/Baizhu/Emilie woth him... I'm out of the hype... Mavuika and pyro Aether can solve the Mavuika Issue. She spend 80 ns by herself, and pyro Aether i read he can spend something nearby 70 or something like that. The issue is that people want to use the Furina, Kazuha, Bennet comp everywhere, they need to change a little bit.
