This kinda explains whether Teyvat is in a samsara or not. If Teyvat is indeed an isolated world that avoids from being another victim of "honkai" then every new samsara cycle is equivalent to that of clearing data to purge it of all the "Honkai" in order to prevent it from getting "corrupted". "Honkai" in this case represents as some form of computer virus or malware.

With Honkai being very adaptive, it's likely that the All-Devouring Narwhal is one Honkai, lured towards Teyvat as an early measure against Fontaine's advancing technology and imminent rebellion. This is also why Egeria was punished for tampering with the balance of nature, and why the punishment involved the Primordial Sea. It was a deliberate setup to sic the Narwhal onto the Fontainians and eliminate the pontential cause for a future problem. Additionally, Fontaine's discovery of Arkhe is basically a downscaled version of Quantum and Imaginary: a Yin-Yang concept that contains tremendous powers which always try to balance each other out. The separation of the aspects of Arkhe is what led to the discovery of pneumosia, and consequently to Pneuma and Ousia, which mirror Quantum and Imaginary. Based on that, I think the Honkai effect is less about technological advancements in general and more about establishing a connection to the Sea of Quanta, a connection that goes both ways and allows the looming Honkai to take effect to prevent Quantum from "infesting" the Imaginary. This is likely what happened in Khaenri'ah - their attempt at connecting to the deepest parts of the Abyss would likely lead them to breach it eventually and unveil the Sea of Quanta, with the Abyss functioning as both a protective layer for Teyvat as well as a disposal space for "corrupted data", which is why Irminsul also doesn't cover the Abyss.

I think Forbidden Knowledge is a manifestation of the Honkai. Rukkadehvata described it as something that came from the deepest part of the abyss, that even she couldn’t understand. It would make sense that she couldn’t understand it if Teyvat is so isolated. This is coming from someone who has never touched a Honkai game in any capacity but I thought it was a fun theory.

7:47 actually, in the early development of Genshin, it has Honkai prefix in it. They removed it because the investors don't like how mHY only had 1 IP at that time. Overall, Genshin still has very much Honkai element in it. What is Honkai story all about anyway? Per its Chinese characters mean, 崩坏/崩壊 means collapse. What kind of Collapse? Civilization collapse. We already been told numerous times in this game about one particular civilization that has collapsed: Khaenri'ah. Why did it collapse? That's the thing we've been uncovering bit-by-bit in Dain's quest. Per Prof. Youyun correspondence in latest HI3 part 2 chapters, Honkai energy is a byproduct of civilization advancement. In other words, it's almost likely the law is that as a civilizations advance and reaching its peak, they invite a lot more variables that ushering to their demise (honkai beasts and herrschers in HI3, creatures from sea of data in Luoxing). We also glimpse something similar in the King Deshret story, Ruu's story, and Sorush story. Eleazar and all those stuffs. I'm sure we could also see lots of 'collapse of civilization' on other world quests. This theme reminds me to one Einstein's quote that says: “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” If anyone play Horizon series, they probably can make some sense why Aloy is included in the game as collab character. She came from planet that was so advanced but crumbled due to one man's hubris and everything went back to stone age.

This video is very close to my personal understanding of the Hoyoverse but is missing out on a few concepts. Imaginary and Quanta being the Yin Yang is apparent, but Yin and Yang together makes the Taiji/ Great Absolute, the whole circle symbol. And this symbol is what Honkai represents, allow me to further elaborate. Taiji doesn't just mean balance, it means constant change, the back and forth of Yin and Yang, destruction and creation is Entropy, Honkai is Entropy itself, which is why the organisation Anti-Entropy exists. Entropy just like Yin and Yang are neither good or evil, they are just the forces that shape the world and Entropy is the resulting outcome, constant change. So what happens to a world that rejects Honkai/ Entropy/ constant change? You get stuck in a Samsara like Teyvat, not just in a time loop, but Celestia and the higher powers are deliberately destroying civilisations when they are dangerously close to harnessing Honkai. Ironically they become what Honkai does in Honkai abundant worlds, the Gods of Teyvat are doing exactly what Herrschers do, stopping civilisation from progressing when they reach too far. This is why Raiden's Eternity is said to be the closest thing to the Heavenly Principles, because the Heavenly Principle is to halt human civilisation from becoming infected with Honkai, to maintain a stable Eternity that doesn't progress into Honkai/Collapse. However even the Archons themselves know that they can't stop human desires, humans themselves will always have bigger and bigger dreams, this is why the Archons and even Raiden herself has now chose to step down from their roles and allow humans to take control of their own will. And this is the true ultimate goal of Celestia, to create civilisations that has such strong will that they will one day challenge and overcome Honkai. I believe that Celestia wants humans to have powerful dreams worthy of Visions to ascend and one day take over them. Celestia is showing tough love to humanity, challenging them to achieve greater heights and eventually surpass them. And to do this they must truly have dreams big enough to actually take down the gods themselves, if they can't, civilisation will get destroyed and a new Samsara starts learning from previous failures and ruins left behind by broken dreams. Also elements are tangible manifestation of dreams, it is how Irminsul stores elemental energy, so those with powerful authority over elements are literally individuals with huge dreams, Demon Gods, Adepti, Aranara etc. And now humans with the biggest dreams can also express their own authority in the form of Visions. Teyvat is in a state of Samsara, a giant endless dream so that humans can eventually grow so strong that not just Gods, not just the Will of the World, not just Honkai can stop them. Teyvat is similar to Kevin's Project Stigma, but not to seal us in a hopeless state, it is like the current bubble universe of Mars, not just as an escape pod, but to grow a dream so strong that it will burst from the bubble universe one day. Teyvat is the ultimate plan of the Primordial one to create a world that will transcend Finality.

I don’t know if you actually play(ed) Honkai Impact 3, but Teyvat is an awfully good candidate for a world created through project ARK. Teyvat is the Hebrew word for ark as well. That makes Griseo the primordial one. my opinion is that Teyvat is already dead. The Samsara, The False Sky, the fact you cannot go past that sky, Nothing exists outside of the area covered by the Seven Nations are we know them etc... If we go by existing rules (and we've been told that Teyvat IS an Imaginary Tree world by the devs) then everything points towards Teyvat being a Bubble Universe. my theory is that Celestia either is or houses the Ether Anchor that keeps Teyvat as intact as it is and stops it from being completely devoured by The Abyss (The Quantum Sea). We know there are methods of worlds being re-joined to the branches of The Imaginary Tree and maybe The Tsaritza has found out a way to do it which is why she needs the Gnosis as conduits to the sources of elemental power but for whatever reason whoever actually controls Celestia doesn't want an attempted re-joining to happen. maybe out of a sense of wanting to keep their position of power, maybe out of fear that "if the re-joining fails then we're completely screwed"...There are multiple angles really. an interesting case to make is that the current arc of HI3 focusing on the Bubble Universe made from the remains of Mars. It's revealed that The Anchor Of The Apocalypse which keeps in intact can quite literally be fuelled by absorbing the metaphysical energy of peoples fears so really anything is possible.

TECHNICALLY there is a multiverse however it doesn't work like that would normally imply. it's made of multiple alternate timelines that exist in the same physical space (broadly speaking) but separated enough and blocked by enough Imaginary barriers that under normal means they'd never interact. However there ARE multiple versions of the same Earth for example and it's implied that other galaxies just aren't a thing in the typical sense and every one is just another milky way with any number of changes, big or small, but again in most cases you'd never actually reach another one because of the Imaginary Barriers in place.
@BNuts6 ай бұрын
I've had a theory for a long time that Teyvat was an alternate reality's Project Ark, since the name 'teyvat' refers to Noah's Ark. The Ark was a method for surviving a Great Flood, likewise the Firemoth Organization, which was like Izumo, created Project Ark as one of the options in Project SAVE to find a way for humanity to survive the Honkai, or otherwise defeat them. For those curious: - Project Stigma: Force humanity to evolve to be resistant to Honkai energy by one of various means, including sacrificing the majority. - Project Ark: Dispatch a fleet of ships with people aboard to look for some far corner where Honkai wasn't looking. - Project Veruka: Su, using _Cosmic Juggernaught_ , which is like the Astral Express, looked across universes to find a method by which Honkai had already been defeated elsewhere. - Project Ember: Carry advanced technology and anti-Honkai weapons into the future. Project Stigma was always considered 'the worst option' regardless of its iterations, because of the large number of humanity it would sacrifice. In the last days of the Previous Era, though, there were so few humans left that it hardly mattered anymore. People in PE didn't use surnames because there were so few of them, and most of them survived in just three cities until the Herrscher of Corruption launched their nuclear arsenal at those cities. In the main _HI3_ story, while the Ark Fleet launched successfully, contact with them was quickly lost. It was thus deemed a failure. However we now know that one Flame-Chaser, Griseo, survived. Unfortunately, regardless of watching for a long time, Su never managed to find any methods of defeating the Honkai. He thus joined Hua, Kevin, and others on Project Ember. Clearly the Firemoths didn't know at the time that Honkai grow stronger as civilization becomes more advanced. They found this out only after bringing their old technology into the Current Era, and seeing the fast strengthening of the Honkai, decided to stop. This left Project Stigma, however Su felt Kevin went too far. Su was responsible for a hidden Project, Sanctuary, to stop Kevin if that was the case. He tried to trap Kevin in the Sea of Quanta, along with himself, but Kevin threw Su back out into the world at the last moment. Returning to _Genshin_ , my theory was that Teyvat was another world's version of an Ark colony-style ship, dispatched to a far space to hide from the Honkai. But it has a secondary function: to train warriors to be able to fight the Herrschers. This is what Visions are about, and why a Hypostasis, a being of pure elemental might, guards the Ascension Test, since it can only be defeated with the elements. Despite this, though, the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, which safeguards civilization on Teyvat from advancing too far and attracting the 'gaze' of the Honkai, is far more powerful than the Archons combined, as well as the Traveler twins at their full power. The Sustainer herself is based on God Kiana or Herrscher of the Void, showing the inhabitants of Teyvat who come across her what kind of power is required to confront a Herrscher. But at least that was my theory. Honkai has been present in _Genshin_ in different ways all along. You have the fragments of ancient gods that tempted and talked to people like Collei in the prequel manga. You have the Forbidden Knowledge and the corruption of people who touched it. You have the Abyss Order themselves, who have a common apparent goal in the eradication of humanity. Probably various other things, too. I'm not caught up on the story. Skirk seems to resemble Vita in design, in her clothes and ornamentation. I wonder if it's possible she might be like Sa, a being similar to the Cocoon. That would be interesting.

Another point that supports the theory that Teyvat is a bubble universe is the name itself. "Teyvat" (תֵּבַת) is a Hebrew word that means 'chest' or 'ark.' However, this word is also in reference to Noah's Ark. To summarize, in the book of Genesis (i.e. the very beginning. In fact, this story is the one succeeding Adam and Eve [the first humans]'s fall and Cain and Abel [Adam and Eve's first two sons]; also, Noah is a descendant of Adam), God wants to wipe out all of the unrighteous with a (global) flood, so he tells Noah to build an ark so he can save himself, his wife, his three sons and their wives, and two of every animal. God then floods the Earth, and Noah, his family, and the animals stay safe aboard it. Theory-wise, this "global flood" could be the Honkai, and the ark is Teyvat. I'm not too good at this theory thing, so draw your own conclusions from there.

It’s wild to me that the Genshin fandom get super bent out of shape when CC try to connect Teyvat to the larger Hoyoverse. We know for a fact that Otto Apocalypse viewed Teyvat while he searched the imaginary tree to find a way to revive Kallen. So many of the characters are alter universe versions of HI3 and Honkai StarRail. I honestly agree that the primordial one’s samsara cycle of destruction is a measure put in place to stop the emergence of the Honkai. Either that or Teyvat is a bubble universe floating through the abyss (sea of quanta) waiting for its eventually destruction. It could be that primordial one attracts descenders to Teyvat to use their powers to keep the universe from being destroyed by the sea. I read a supposed leak one time that said when we get to Cryo Archon the Hyperion will show up on Teyvat. That would make the fandom implode lol. Also the Primodial one obviously had knowledge of the sea of quanta and imaginary tree, because they literally created their own version of the imaginary tree and sea of quanta with Irmisil and the LeyLines of Teyvat that feed each other in a cycle. Whomever Primodial one is or was they obviously are aware of how the overall Honkaiverse works, because they make a mini version of it to control the world.

One thing of note... and beware: LOTS OF TEXT! (EDIT IN THE END) If Teyvat is a bubble universe then it's fated to die in the Sea of Quanta... UNLESS there's anchor of sorts to sustain it. We learn in Honkai Impact's main story as well as character side-events as well as the captain verse that a Bubble Universe's death in the Sea of Quanta is all but Inevitable, but it can be delayed for an extraordinary long period of time. For that it needs an anchor of sorts which can be anything from a crystal, to a sword, to an actual person. These anchors also have the ability to change some laws of that Universe in order to help sustain or maintain that Universe. Now... let that sink in; An anchor is something that can be anything from a crystal, to a sword, to an actual person. These anchors also have the ability to change some laws of that Universe. What does that sound like?... Sounds very close to the Heavenly Principals doesn't it? We learn from Apep - an enemy of the Heavenly Principals - that no matter what the Heavenly Principals will do ANYTHING to protect and preserve that which is most precious to it; all that lives. And no matter how you slice it, the Fontaine Prophecy reveals it self to be a self-fullfilling one as no matter what everything happened as it was foretold. The only difference was the outcome. We need to remember, the only reason that Narwhall (forgot how to spell it) emerged to begin with was because Childe ran into it when he was a child when he first fell into the Abyss and found Skirk. And remember, this creature was drawned to the Primordial Sea and the true Focalor condemned Childe for no reason.. perhaps she knew he was what started the Prophecy's countdown. The Heavenly Principals, from this perspective, literally had no hand in this other than saying what will happen. Also, we learned that the Quantum Sea can literally produce anything people desire from their own emotions (like fear) in Honkai Impact's second part. Anything from items, supplies... to even people. And Khaenri'ah, as well as other places, tried using the Abyss to gain knowledge... what if everyone that pursued the Abyss's knowledge thought that the Heavenly Principals was trying to hide Truth and the Abyss had it... when in reality... the Abyss was providing a "Truth" that suited the beliefs they already had, hence why Forbiden Knowledge is so destructive? After all, we learned from the two Abyssal Creatures (Durin and Elynas) that the Abyss warps ones senses of reality into something else as they both believed their rampage and the people screaming in terror was just them playing and having fun. And although they blame Celestia for the Curses... we learn from other sources that the Abyss's power can transform people INTO monsters... Celestial power merely stomps such things... so now I ask... is the Hillichurlian curse a byproduct of the Abyss (I can't get over how that sickness in Sumeru looked close to it nor the fact we had a Dainsleaf quest in the Chasm that also touched on Sumeru) and the longevity curse was Celestial in an attempt to slow it down if not stop it? So now I ask an important question: What IS true? I suspect we are going to have some brutal revelations... and if the constant thread of collapsing Societies in Genshin Impact's lore is any evidence, one of those revelations is that it's mistrust that leads to downfall. That is, assuming, this hypothesis is true... EDIT: Not to spoil anything so I'll keep this short; in the newest world quest (or whatever it is) we are informed that the "Curse of the Gods" is that of the Usurper's own flaw; to care for humans. So... if this is true, then regardless of what they do, all God's are inheretly biased to do their best towards humanity when possible.

on the topic of genshin and honkai having crossover it's really interesting how honkai (star rail) has a whole faction and god dedicated to travelling to the ends of the universe and also the god that rules it randomly went missing in "an accident". it's interesting that both genshin's travellers and this travelling faction are heavily associated with stars. also it's interesting that cannonically khanriah has pulled two stars from the sky and the travellers also desended into khanriah. idk i'm not a lore theorist but there's probably a theory in there somewhere
@snackeetah26274 ай бұрын
I've been a huge advocate of Teyvat being a bubble world since I played HI3. It's strange compact but dense world, the lack of logic in climate and weather, people who're able to go beyond its borders on a whim, "fake sky", all that. My guess is that Teyvat was once a bubble world with its own rules that was, as all of the bubble worlds, meant to be consumed by the Sea of Quanta one day. But there're ways to save the bubble world - either by "anchoring" it to the "real world" ("Archon", "anchor"... nevermind) or by isolating it by a barrier ("fake sky"?). And those who're coming here form the other worlds... well, IIRC, the first descender was said to came from his old world that was destroyed. We know that in HI3 some people tried to use The Sea of Quanta as a way to escape from Honkai (in recently released Part 2 we basically looking at the story of civilization from Mars that wrapped itself in a bubble world after civilization on Mars was destroyed by something that really looks like Honkai), yeah, and the best way to do it is the bubble world. Maybe Teyvat drew such an attention from seemingly different factions (Skirk, her master, descendants - all of them coming "from beyond") because as an original bubble world it was somehow unique? That's why the first descendant came here and re-shaped it to stabilize it and install a certain order. I guess we'll have some ponetial leads in HI3 Part 2, looks like it will dig bubble worlds topic even deeper (like already we saw a bubble world which protectors against either Honkai or Sea of Quanta were SEVEN Shus like seven is a magical constant that worlds need to have to miantain order). Or maybe... JUST MAYBE it's all some sort of simulation (Irminsul makes it all looks like the world made of pure data) or experiment. There are a lot of possibilities. I think we can't pinpoint the truth even after the last Dainsleif quest. But it's definitely something among these things.

That makes so much sense! That the continuation of the game would be it’s expansion into the Honkai universe at the end of the game. There is a special reason that Teyvat is so backward and secluded from the other portions of the universe! Skyrk and Alice are the two who have the ability to actually leave and return to the planet however and when ever they want to. Skyrk for Childe and Alice for Klee. Both Zhongli and Venti know what is going on. Zhongli has some kind of a contract blended into the mix and there is a reason for the travelers movement and knowledge within the samsara that holds Teyvat so tightly within the fake sky.
@mrmr58316 ай бұрын
On the Sustainer stopping the twins, it makes more sense if you think of it as avoidance/protection from the Honaki as they were solving the problems with Khaenri'ah and instating the Archons, they were settling chances of Teyvat being discovered by the Honkai. Then you have two universe/world travelling descenders that could potentially leave and leak information about Teyvat to the greater honkaiverse. The Sustainer was just trying to stop an information leak in the attempt to keep the world hidden

I love this theory cause It furthers the notion of Celestia not being the incarnate evil that so many think, and also adds complexity to their actions, cause one thing is that our impression of Celestia right now is even worse than the one we could have at one point of the Fatuis or the abyss order, people going to to the lengths to even say that they are kinda the good guys all along, It would a plot twist if Celestia was actually the one trying to prevent the destruction of Teyvat and even If their means where evil they have a noble reason. The perspective could entirely change, and maybe we are leading Teyvat to it´s destruction rather than to their salvation If we oppose Celestia and the Heavenly Principles, cause one thing is that everything is not what I seems to be, adding complexity to Celestia and the entity of The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles is something I would love to see

I think Phanes is a highly advanced technological being. The description of her from the book called Before the Sun and the Moon sounds weird, unless the ones who described it don't know the concept of that advance technology. "The Primordial One may have been Phanes. It had wings and a crown, and was birthed from an egg, androgynous in nature. But for the world to be created, the egg's shell had to be broken. However, Phanes, the Primordial One, used the eggshell to separate the "universe" and the "microcosm of the world."" The egg she was into might've been some sort of an anti-honkai (abyss) capsule and was made to contain a place if it's deemed habitable.

kinda weird how hyv games always have the same elements in each game: lightning - electro Fire - pyro Ice - cryo Then in honkai star rail they introduced: wind - anemo That leaves physical, quantum, and imaginary unaccounted for. But what if: Quantum - Sea of quanta Hydro - Primordial sea Imaginary - imaginary tree Dendro - irminsul tree (world tree) And although there is physical in the game already maybe geo is meant to be like physical in its own way? Idk but like when u crit in honkai impact it turns like yellow so ehhh Physical - geo Now considering all this, what if teyvat is meant to be like a simulated/perfect world in which all these elements were meant to be in harmony. But then bc of outside influence from the imaginary tree (celestia) and also the sea of quanta (abyss). The fabric of reality within teyvat is now falling apart since it was previously supposed to be a world unaffected by those two outside forces. now the imaginary tree (celestia) and the sea of quanta (abyss) are making teyvat their personal battlefield in their never ending destruction of one another. Thats why the fatui, aware of the imbalance being caused by these two forces, are trying to overthrow celestia. To give power back to the dragon sovereigns and restore the elemental harmony of teyvat once again. And thats why the abyss twin and skirk are not rlly exactly working together with the fatui. Bc although theyre goals to overthrow celestia align, the abyss still recognizes itself as an outside entity. The hexenzirkel are possibly taking the role of a third neutral party. Although theyre possibly all descenders in some way, they do not wish to tamper too much with the fate of teyvat. So they either observe or do things that are in accordance with the natural order of the world. Like although rhinedottr did kinda tamper a lot with artificial life, it kind of kickstarted events leading to the cataclysm (an event that was meant to happen within the fate of teyvat). However her rift hounds and other creations still prove to be toxic to teyvat's world structure bc they are composed of the quantum element. Idk im js spitting some crack theory Also something i wanted to comment on but like its probably a little too out there. Primordial teyvat was a world inhabited by dragons and ruled by dragon sovereigns. Notice how in honkai star rail we have a deceased aeon known as Long the Permanence. Long is known as the progenitor of all dragons in hsr. What if teyvat was created by a similar primordial dragon being with the power of an aeon. One created a world with creatures in its image, with its own self sustaining energy (elemental). Although, hyv probably wouldn't explicitly call this being long and connect genshin to hsr, but they might introduce an omnipotent being that is similar. Also, maybe Long's pursuit of permanence in the universe may have led him to create such a self sustaining world. Maybe teyvat was perfectly balanced and essentially immortal before the outside influences of celestia and the abyss. (Exactly why the fatui would like to overthrow celestia. To make teyvat a nation unruled by gods. Restore the natural order but they found a way for humans to coexist in this world where they didnt belong.)

I think there is still the elements think about it in honk you have the same elements physical,fire,ice,lightning,air, the different elements are like this Genshin:geo water plant Honkai star rail:quantum, imaginary but I don’t think those elements are gone quantum is all about the quantum sea which also fits with water. Dendro also has a tree that does store the worlds knowledge it’s extremely similar to the imaginary tree. there’s nothing more imaginary than that. The hardest to pin point is geo but it might be an offshoot of imaginary as well, having similar colors and creating constructs which someone who uses imagination would probably do.
