I irritated my sciatic nerve a few weeks ago from lifting heavy weights. My ortho told me to do some gentle stretches today. 'when I got home I opened up my feed and found this flow. I am very grateful for this! very easy on the nerve and some of my favorite poses too.

I’m nursing a sore back and this was just the thing to keep my routine despite nagging injury. I heard you describe that you were an avid skateboarder in Germany when you were a child. I had just injured myself doing deadlift in the gym and I always come here on and off to use your videos for light stretching. I opened your page unable to barely walk properly and found the spine video. The recovery using all your videos is going slowly but smoothly appreciate it brother. Thank you for this practice ! I understood that the reason I couldn't stand the sensations I felt during plow pose was simply due to me not taking the time to ease myself into the position and trying right away to extend legs and touch the floor. Taking that time made my body somewhat more "open" to it, like it didn't have to send me big warning messages all along. That gentle practice was perfect for christmas Eve, and I'll do it again 👌

Love this style of yoga. Would love an idea to adapt the pose where the legs go over the head, since I don't have the flexibility to do it. Even with pillows, I could not do it.

So I've got to the age where I keep getting a bad lower back, which stops me from exercising for weeks at a time, I have stopped doing heavy resistance training, I want to do some jump rope, some yoga and some light resistance band training, how can I best stay healthy to achieve this

For Sow pose, I'd have to stack 5 pillows on my head which doesn't sound very Yin-like. Any other Yin floor poses that put the spine in a similar position?

@@BreatheAndFlow Hah, that's fair. It was a bit of a balancing act last night trying to stack them. Next time I will have a chair handy, and put my ankles underneath the chair seat. The tension from my tight hamstrings will help me hold the position.
