No. We use metric for EVERYTHING except a person's height and weight, and that's only older generations. It comes from watching U.S. TV--"the murder suspect is six feet tall, 300 pounds." But an exception does not nullify the rule. We use metric.

3:56 The volcano in question is Mount Edgecombe. Questionable name out loud but it's a the only known volcano in the Alaskan Panhandle. It's near the town of Skita, a fairly large town of around 13K people & was the former capital of Alaska before it was moved to Juneau a near by town to the northeast. Alaska has a lot of volcanoes, the most out of any state in the U.S most of them are found in the Aleutian Island Chain to the West of the state & the chain of volcanoes eventually run into the mainland.
