I’d like to propose Gen. John Pershing. Head of the Expeditionary Forces during WWI. His military career tells the story of America’s imperialism, from commanding Buffalo Soldiers during the Span-Am War to hunting Pancho Villa amidst the Mexican Revolution. Surely a life worthy of Biographics.

I think his trip from moderate to the face of segregation, his presidential campaign and assassination attempt, all the way back to moderate is an interesting story. Just how chasing the vote and populism can change someone for the worse.

I grew up and lived in Barrington so only a few minutes from where the shoot out occurred. When I was in graduate school one of my colleagues was obsessed with the fact that I lived so close to where one of his “idols” lived. My reply was yeah and several decades apart too lol. Couldn’t help but slowly walk backwards and away from anything to do with him after that!

The Touhy Gang was based out of Des Plaines, IL, a Chicago suburb. It was named for its leader, Roger "The Terrible" Touhy. Touhy, like Nelson, ultimately came to a violent end.

Interesingly, in the movie O, Brother Where Art Thou?, George makes an appearance; but he's treated as a little more of sympathetic character When referenced as "Babyface" in the bank, you can see that it really hurts him instead of just angering him. I actually felt kind of bad for him The real life Nelson, however, I don't feel much sympathy for. I wish the reformery school had helped, but he made his choice

You should do a video about, in my opinion the Saddest President of the U.S., Franklin Pierce. While he was going to give his inaugural speech, on the train ride there the train derailed. Him, his wife (Jane Pierce), and his son were on board. Him and his wife made it out safely but his son got crushed right in front of their eyes. Do manuel perez Jr. A mexican from Chicago, specific neighborhood where I live. He was in the Philippines vs Japan.
