I was 19 when this stand up special originally aired. I was all in on politics too, and was for 15-16 years. But now, in my mid-40s, Carlin’s monologue perfectly encapsulates my level of political apathy. Above all, George Carlin is exceptionally intelligent, honest and brave enough to say what is so obvious to all of us. The problem with us is that don't act is that most of us have some agenda behind not saying anything. George didn't have any and I thank him for that. RIP, George, we miss you and need someone like you more than ever.
