George is right; when people hit someone with their cars they just run (they never stop to see how badly they hurt or killed their poor victim). But when the same people driving and suddenly see someone is hit by another hit-n-run or they see a bad auto accident scene, they all stop their cars and get as close as possible to the scene of the accident just to see every detail of the injury or carnage. and later they go home and excitingly explain to others about how they saw people's faces and bodies were smashed to pieces inside their cars. People feel no responsibility for the damages or pain they inflict on others, but they want every justice in the world to help them get even when others inflict pains on them. It's like we hear people are saying, "I should get away with my crime, but others should never get way with their crimes."

i dont think is a question of bad or good, its just human nature. Humans are shitty and selfish by nature. We dont care about anybody but us and our families, thats why we love to watch and even slow down to "see the details", because inside were thinking, (boy im glad it wasant me)

I would think it should have been, "If a really forgetful person becomes senile... " That would make more sense! Don't get me wrong, I'm not ripping on George here... I absolutely adore George and his stand-up! I have all of his regular HBO stand-ups on VHS tape! It's just all these small appearances I haven't seen, and I agree that this is not his best work, so the people talking about his drug use have their point!

It’s funny that there are less developed, cleaned up bits of his classic routines from the 90s that were in this set, like running over a man in a sheepskin coat and the list of “gourmet” foods (candied unicorn McNuggets became candied moose balls). Shows how long his talents really took to come into totally full fruition

Great story and joke teller. What a memory eh? I like a joke as much as the next guy but so often have trouble thinking of one straight off the bat. Yet when someone else is telling 'their' joke a whole bunch of jokes spring to mind. This is not the case with George Carlin and his gags. I'm not sure if it's the topics he speaks about or his delivery.

George's humor is really forced here and doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere but a need to make an appearance. I've never seen him so off. But also, when Johnny comes to his aid (in the next segment) you can see George laugh, which, when you think about it, isn't something we saw much at all - even though he made the rest of us laugh a lot.
