George, I use to get my granddaughter to write me stories she even illustrated some of them. When she was like 12 the teacher was so impressed with her ability to do so she got colleges to start courting her. Our little girl went to Yale and learned to speak mandarin from her roommate. She works for the U N now,but she ended up like Grandad so wrapped up in learning forgot to develop relationships with other people. When you start explaining things they look at you like you speak a foreign language.

First saw Carlin when I was 11 yo. Grew up in the JW cult, very strict, thought control upbringing. Then late one night, at a family member's house, I saw him on HBO and I wasn't supposed to be watching HBO. He was the introduction to thinking for myself on a variety of subjects in life. He planted a seed, for damn sure.

Everything this man has said has become more relevant today than it was back then. Society has gone so far overboard with everything, especially when it comes to creating content because they don’t want to “offend people.” I’m so sick of censorship, cancel culture, “viewer discretion is advised”, and “I’m offended by this.” Here’s the bottom line: if you don’t like something, DON’T WATCH IT!

@Private_Witt2 жыл бұрын
Saluti.
