I don't care for the politics, as a human being I saw the pain in a son's eyes, his father being laid to rest, and it was dignified but it still hurts. My Dad served his country faithfully and nothing hurt more than to bury him. Its in the natural order of life but in the end it simply "still sucks"

Very nice! Plus, for the courtesy of you and others who view this, the song played during the 21-gun salute is "Hail to the Chief" and there are actually words for it. They are below if you want to read them while listening or sing along. Hail to the chief we have chosen for the nation! Hail to the chief, we salute him one and all! Hail to the chief, as we pledge cooperation, in proud fulfillment of a great, noble call. Yours is the aim to make this grand country grander. This you will do, that's our strong, firm belief. Hail to the one we've selected as commander! Hail to the president! Hail to the chief!

I actually had my TV tuned to CNN yesterday afternoon and when the casket bearing his boddy was carried off the train in College Station, they did play "Hail to the Chief" and the Aggie war hymn. And, they played the national anthem as well.

@@pradyut99 The formal name of the 21 gun salute is the Salute Battery. There are two different versions of this salute, the Presidential Salute Battery performed at inauguration, and one designated for military/presidential funerals and recognizing foreign dignitaries. The presidential battery salute is performed after the president says “so help me God” after which 3 cannons fire 21 mortars with, I believe, 3 seconds between each round. This has been the standard since 1953. Biden did not receive the Presidential Salute Battery at his “inauguration”. He instead received, a day or two later at Arlington Nat’l Cemetery, the latter kind of salute battery. The one designated for foreign dignitaries in which 2 guns fire 21 rounds with, I believe, 10 seconds between each round. The military is very precise in their rituals, especially at Arlington, home to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, therefore I don’t believe our military recognizes Biden as the Commander In Chief. Look up the footages, compare them for yourself. Look up the salutes and their histories. I’m not spread misinformation.
@judwatkins94783 жыл бұрын
@@theslicegolf I agree except to say that Biden/Harris etc. went to Arlington Cemetery on the same day as their fake inauguration to have the appearance of receiving a 21 gun salute. It was obviously not the Salute Battery for the real president. That was performed at Andrews AFB for President Trump to honor his inauguration of his new term as the 19th President of the Republic of the United States of America.

Bush got a Civilian Internment flag over his casket. It's clear as day! Small stars. Watch Reagan's funeral. Large man stars! Watch any veteran's funeral in good standing here on YT! LARGE STARS, BABY!!!

@Dan Wruck it's a Qanon conspiracy BS, where they changed the inauguration day back then, so they think all the presidents after Grant wasn't "tHe REaL PrESIdeNt" it's a coping mechanism for them. So they think Grant was the last official president.

Funny.. there were pauses at Biden’s Inauguration that I’ve never heard before. In any presidential funeral or inauguration it’s always been the same. Just found it weird.
@brayanbenitez99193 жыл бұрын
Yes!! Looks like you and I are on the same path my dear brother. I saw bidens "21 gun salute" and it definitely isn't the same as previous 21 gun salutes for other presidents. Usually the military is VERY STRICT on traditions, so that one has definitely baffled my mind quite a bit. I think its a Three Volley Salute if I'm not mistaken.

At JFK’s funeral it was played at a slower beat as a dirge. Much more fitting for a solemn moment such as this.
