First of all George Karl was a terrible defensive coach so he can criticize Melo all he wants but he needs to look in the mirror. Also, Melo didnt exactly have a choice in the matter about his father. He died. Thirdly, there are WAY more people who have negative experiences with Karl as a coach than Melo or KMart as players. (See Ray Allen).

Classic case of old white guy taking credit for things people of color were actually responsible for, not to mention that they were able to do those things in spite of him doing everything he could to muck it up. Honestly, go back and watch his OOB plays and late game scenarios to see what kind of game knowledge he actually had, especially on defensive coverages and gameplanning. Coaching only on offense is flashy, showy, and lazy. Might make some fans, but it doesn't win titles. Obviously.

With the exception of George's comments about their father(Out of bounds), he spoke the truth about Melo. Melo has to accept that. Whenever some says something about me, i try to lean to the mature side of me & ask the question, " Is that true?" before going further. Notice, i made the remark that i "try" to lean to the mature side. Like others, i can let my emotions lead me down a path of immaturity. #3. At the end of the day, it doesn't affect your bottom line. Respond if choose, but, listen, no one is thinking about George Carl's book. I am sure it is not a best seller or award winning book. ESPECIALLY in the day & age we live in where "opinion is king of the blogosphere" these should treat this like a tweet. People talk about it today and dont care tomorrow. It doesnt affect your bottom line any. When asked about this, they collectively should have responded " i dont care" when dont put wood in the fire, eventually it dies..

The truth hurts. Can you imagine coaching Allen Iverson, Carmelo, Jr Smith, and Kenyon Martin on the same team!?!? 😂

Aside from the father part. George spoke nothing but facts.

I don't think it would have been that bad if he didn't cross the father part. That's a little cold.

I mean .... That Melo assessment seems pretty on point. He drove D’Antoni and Lin out of Ny and we never recovered. Karl just had no place to put those thoughts in the atmosphere. But the no father comments? ... foh, Chad.

Chuck George is to good of a person to come back after and trash those guys, but obviously he's NOT that good of a person and what he did just speaks to the fact that he isn't that good of a person .

Its crazy for a coach to say all this negstice stuff abiut a 20 yr old player. Its not like he had 10 yrs of bad habits and superstar areogance Karl had to deal with. If after 6 years with a olayer that you got with basically a clean slate he has all these negative traits then maybe you failed as a coach to develope him into a good professional.

Probably yes. You people always bring up J Lin but nobody in that locker room said that was the case. Amare never specified who it was and Lin personally said multiple heads didn't want him back including the front office... I watched that team Melo never visibly looked disgruntled with Lin so that is all speculation. Give other examples of the behavior he's being accused of lol

@@IaMYoungWalker Jeremy Lin wasn't on the Nuggets and never played for George Karl. So... What are you even Talking about?
@IaMYoungWalker Жыл бұрын
@@onestopfunstop317 so other than Karl you would have to give examples from other players. That's the point one person can say anything but how can you just assume it's true. Karl attacked a lot of players lol. Then later in his career there are more chances of him to be accused of this and nobody ever said anything lol almost always the complete opposite

To sell books smarty pants. Same reason "fire and fury" came out with a buzz. Publicity sells . Make a bogus claim on some famous people, get free promotion and exposure until the next big story. Regardless if the claims are true or not. But in this case I think it's just his personal opinion, doesn't mean it's true.
