I went to a coaches luncheon right after the Bucks lost to the Allen Iverson,Philly team. The thing I remember the most was how badly he talked about Ray Allen, Big Dog, and Cassell. He just went off the rack on how lazy they were, didn’t practice hard, played no defense and no work ethic. I was shocked. It was the first time I heard Coach say anything like that about his players to the public. Even if those were issues, they usually stayed in the locker room with the players and the coach. It’s almost like he wanted to embarrass them. I personally thought these guys were young you can build with them, teach them. If those were issues you frame it in away to motivate and build. It was strange sitting there listening to him talk so negatively about those guys. I left the luncheon in shock, I just couldn’t believe it. Didn't Melo have issues with coaches in NY as well?
@highdeff179 ай бұрын
@@BruvahSulaiman Melo had no issues with anyone in NY aside fron Phil Jackson. Multiple players on the Knicks including Derrick Rose had an issue with Phil because Phil didn’t want the Knicks to win without the triangle. He also was a GM and kept trying to force the coach to use the triangle even when he saw it wasn’t working. Rose spoke on that situation as well. The Knicks would win and blow teams out without the triangle and Phil would hold meetings being angry they didn’t use the triangle. That’s why you would see in the first half of games the Knicks would be destroying whoever they were playing, and then halftime Phil would make them use the triangle and the lead would disappear immediately.

@@highdeff17 Basketball Examined has a few videos from years ago detailing how Melo is overrated. I don't know how ppl forget about Linsanity.
