True, it’s a very slow song. But the lyrics, church organ & his emotional pleas elevate it more than any instrument could. It’s essentially a gospel song. It’s George Michael’s best vocal performance (along with “Kissing a Fool”: also on the “Faith” album). That’s saying a lot.

Just to clarify, George's father was Greek-Cypriot and his mother was British. He keeps getting me through the tough times to and I literally broke my arm in three places whilst listening to Spinning the Wheel. For me, he will always be here.💖
@LadyDoe176 ай бұрын
@@krisushi1 yes I knew that, I should have said half Greek. Thanks for the clarification.
@krisushi15 ай бұрын
@@LadyDoe17 Actually, he is less than half Greek. His father wasn't from Greece itself, yet from Cyprus (Cypriot). The country is divided between two nationalities, George's father was raised in the Greek culture which makes him Greek-Cypriot. His father's genes certainly dominated with George physically. When you look at some of his videos, A Different Corner for example, he looks unmistakably Greek, with a beard and a mullet hair style. I wish I had great hair like George's, although I could do without the facial hair!💖

What a loss. How can a person be so celebrated but, at the same time, underrated. Why there's no movie dedicated to him?
@bk40628 ай бұрын
There is a movie that came out about two years ago called Last Christmas, the music in It was all George. There have also been a few about his life but, most are not true for the most part. You know where that came from, MONEY! People will say anything to put themselves in the spotlight, so they feel like they might be important, but they are not! There is one however called A Different Story. George is in the movie & is totally truthful and lovely. However there is one that has shown It's called the same thing but, The BS people were added in there, (speaking their trash) Don't waste your time on those two-bit people, look for the other one. You can & only trust George to tell his story. If you know George at all, you know what I'm saying is true. George had true integrity! Love! 🕯😇🎶🎶🎶💖

George's greatest wish was to be known for his songwriting. He wouldn't have wanted a movie nor tribute concert. He just got on with his exceptional talent and didn't ask for anything in return. It's his music that we need to remember him by, not some movie. Look how Bohemian Rhapsody was ruined by lies and changing just about everything about Queen. I'd never wish that on George.

I've been watching a slew of George Michael videos this evening in Australia and this song is a great favourite. The highlight of this reaction video was to two mature men who totally surprised me by singing George's praises and acknowledging his many talents. Simply watching you two guys react was a pleasure. The more ignorant youngster was taking drinks whilst George was hitting those perfect notes and couldn't be bothered paying attention to the greatest song writer, vocalist, performer of the modern era - (in my opinion) whilst the other two had their eyes closed and drinking in the entire performance. Looks like someone needs to grow up and stop looking at one's appearance instead of simply listening to the performance. When he started on his 'list', I knew that his skin colour would be mentioned and I was spot on. Just so the ignorant one knows, George Michael is only a stage name, not his true Greek-Cypriot name. Although, his mother was British, his father was Greek-Cypriot through and through. Never judge a book by its colour! This reaction video must have appeared due to the hours of George's songs I was listening to. I was curious to hear an American perspective from two mature gentlemen who should remember the scandal from when George won the Grammy for Faith and he was damned by many 'coloured' (sorry, I hate labelling people) artists who were used to winning this award category. The great Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder weren't fazed and released songs with him, as did Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston etc. It's the talent that matters, not how one looks and in particular - skin colour! Thank you Corey Roy and Fenom202 for your great taste and maturity in presenting this. If you haven't reacted to other videos, try the iconic Somebody to Love from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert and another great in Brother, Can You Spare A Dime. 🇦🇺💖
