Sadly George passed away on 25th December 2016, we lost a legend. Good news is he has a 30 year back catalogue for you to dive into as he started his career in a band called Wham! in the 80s, it's a lot more pop and commercial than his solo stuff. You should try his live performance with Elton John of Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me (1995), he was one of those artist who was better live than recorded. He was a genius; wrote, produced and played a lot of the instruments on his tracks - made music in jazz, funk, pop, soul, dance genres and many more.

You would love his duet with Whitney Houston, "If I Told You That". George also has so many amazing live performances you should check out. George's father is Greek and his mother was English. So, no George wasn't black but the boy did have soul. He grew up on Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin which he was lucky enough to sing with both of them once he had a few hits. He does a great live duet with Stevie doing Stevie's song Livin For The City. He had a number one hit with Aretha in which they won a Grammy for "I Knew You Were Waiting For Me." No doubt about it, George was the real, real deal and terrible loss when he passed. RIP George, we all miss your sweet voice down here.

George had this effect on everyone back then. He was tbe biggest star on the planet. After his successfull Faith Album and Tour George decided he wanted to go into a different direction promotion wise. And wanted his music to do the talking. Management in the US didn't like this, so he was less publicised in the USA. He still remained a massive star everywhere else. Stars of today are not even comparable to the stars of yesteryear.

George Michael was one of MJ's main competition in the 80s. George Michael's debut solo album called 'Faith' outsold Michael Jackson's Bad album in US at that time. This album was the first one of the white artist to top the R&B chart back then. This song reached the R&B chart as well. This album produced 6 top 5 hits and 4 of them went to no.1. React to his other song such as Father Figure, Kissing A Fool from the same album that the song you just reacted. Also George Michael passed away on Christmas day 2016.

Do not cut yourself off at Michael Jackson. George Michael was a phenom. Unlike his contemporaries of the 80s he was such a rare artist in that he sang, wrote, played almost all of the instruments, and produced every bit of his music. He was a freaking star. The man sold 120 million records in his lifetime. One of the best selling artist of all time. He was the first white artist to win record of the year and song of the year on the R&B charts. George Michael: IMHO The best. A Different Corner(my personal fave song, ever, by any artist) Jesus To A Child (written about his partner that died from AIDS related complications, his entire album, Older, is dedicated to him) Fast Love (If possible watch video, it's amazing) Freedom 90 (Video is STUNNING) Monkey Spinning The Wheel Outside (Personally love this one just for the sheer balls shown by making a song about his own arrest) White Light (Which to be honest, since his death, breaks my heart every single time, as does Last Christmas) Waiting For That Day Older ...ummm, basically his entire catalogue. LoL Wham!: Club Tropicana Young Guns (Go For It) Everything She Wants Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do) Where Did Your Heart Go The Edge Of Heaven Battlestations

Smh If someone questions a person's sexuality over a damn song, that's just stupid, ignorant and immature AF. People need to grow TF up. There's no reason for you to even say pause. Music is art. Music is life. Music saves people. Music brings people together. Music is universal. People should be comfortable enough with who they are without feeling the need to explain or emphasize. People shouldn't have to feel restricted to listen to certain types of songs. Shit you better jam to George Michael. Lol
