By the way, Paul McCartney sang this song when he was with the Beatles. He was in the audience because it was a tribute to his wife. He himself said that George sang it better than he did. What a humble guy to admit something like that. Many people feel the same way.

Pat I’m so happy that you’ve discovered the depth of this man’s talent. To be such a phenomenal songwriter vocalist and producer, It’s so rare. He had many firsts in his lifetime still hold several records in the music industry. His videos were always ground breaking and ahead of their time. Please, please react to Brother Can You Spare aDime, sung live on Pavarotti and Friends concert. His vocals on that song are absolutely beyond, beyond phenomenal.

Hi Rose, by listening to all these reactions, I read one that said Goerge wrote HEAL THE PAIN! And Yes He Did! I replied that I never heard that & I'd check It out. I also said I wouldn't be surprised. Well, I was surprised! Do you know of any more songs that are assumed to be written by another group or artist? Then It turns out to be our lovely George? I know of Deon Estus's Heaven Help Me, but are there any others ( obviously Big Names count) that you know of. I'd love to hear from you! LOL, BK🤔🥰

@@bk4062 Oh, that’s a good question. I heard in an interview he said he really didn’t write music for anybody else. He liked to keep his songs for himself. I do know he wrote December Song for the Spice Girls. He ended up not being able to part with that song. That’s the one that comes to mind immediately. I’ll have to give more thought to your question. I love him so much.

George's Mum passed away in Feb. 1997 and Princess Diana in August 1997. That was also the reason why he didn`t accept his award personally at the Brit Awards 1997.

A beautiful tribute to Paul McCartneys wife Linda who passed with breast cancer George also lost his mother to breast cancer, this is an original Beatles song beautiful song made awesome with George’s voice…. RIP George when the angels sing I know your with them ❤❤❤

George’s mother died from skin cancer rather than breast cancer - a melanoma I believe. George was referring here to the fact his mum also died from cancer. Sadly her cancer had spread and she died a short time after they found that out. George was extremely close to his mother and I believe her death had a profound effect on him for the rest of his life.

Oh what a wonderful reaction to George . George's live performances are always just as good , if not better than the studio album cause he puts so much emotion in his performances , even more so than the studio . My suggestion to you Pat is to just start with Wham , which George and Andrew started back in 1981 and work your way through his whole career, you will not find a bad song . Just go through each album , don't just go for the songs that were released as singles because the real hidden gems are the ones that were not released as singles. There are many duets that George did as well , he sang with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Toby Burke , Ray Charles .....there is just so much great , great music by this man it is just unbelievable . I am looking forward to sharing this wonderful journey with you and George !!!!

Hi Loretta, Have you had the chance to read the book called, GEORGE & ME by Andrew Rigley? It really helped me to see the sweet friendship the two of them had. It was quite funny in places too. Well, at least had a chuckle or two. If you care to check It out, I think you'll really like It because It's the being of George's life, I believe a very important part of his life. I'm so glad George had the friends he had. They really supported each other, even more like close siblings! What a heartfelt reaction from you! His voice hits you in waves, every single time... You're very much younger than me but his music is so special to me because as many will say it truly was/is the "soundtrack of my life". Thank you for sharing George Michael's legacy with another generation of listeners. I've heard/read many times that Paul and LInda McCartney only spent 9 nights apart throughout their 29 year marriage (Paul had been jailed for weed in Japan, I think)
