The lead single from his "Livin' It Up" album of 1990 struck a sweet chord as the sixth song when George Strait closed out the Astrodome in 2002. It was written by Aaron Barker and became Strait's 20th number one single.
DVD Song 6. CD Track 5.
This song is property of George Strait and MCA Records. If either party wants this removed, please contact me.

You got that right that song remind's me of my Father my Cousin passed away the day after Christmas from covid and she didn't even leave the house her husband got it from his job there were 12 men and 11 got it today is my cousin's Birthday 🥳 she is 62 I don't want to say she would be 62 because she's still here in our heart's and I have to tell you Candy that's her name Candy I'm still younger than you lol I'm 58 we would always tease each other and she would actually tell me she was 3 years younger than me I'd say see it's what happens when you get up in age your forgetful she would laugh but she's not at least in our mind's I know she's happy to be with her father her mother and her two brothers that both died in their twenties from muscular dystrophy we always took good care of those young men and I was always jealous because even though they couldn't hardly move at times they wrote on paper as if a typewriter did it they're writing was so perfect. She's up there with our Grandparent's on my father's side she's with my Father and Mother our two Uncle's. I know she always said she didn't care if she died because she would be with her family but she said she only wanted to go if she had no choice she didn't have a choice but she's happy now I know she's the only living relative left on my Father's side her and I were very close since we were young and we did a lot of arts and crafts beautiful work I'm in a nursing home in an electric wheelchair I can get out anytime I find a place to move and I can move anywhere I would even live in a little house I have one of those mini houses but I love animals so much and I used to ride horses when I was young I have a trophy in my room at the nursing home from when I rode horses it was for Kentucky West Virginia and Ohio I started writing just for fun at pony farms when I was young and when I turned 16 I got a job at 2 farm's funny the one farm is just down the road around the corner from this nursing home never would have thought I'd have to be here I should have got that surgery a long time ago when I was in my 20s now I can't ride horses play tennis I used to rock climb at our other house in St Louis Missouri I have no children I have no baggage at all I'm planning on leaving this town far away behind me I can still transfer from this wheelchair to bed to a chair I can still drive I have my driver's license and yes I drive good I've gotten no tickets I just can't walk far or fast I would love to help work at a animal shelter again I was volunteering at a dog pound here in Ohio but I'm not allowed to work there because of the virus we're not allowed to leave this building unless we go to the doctors or if we move out for good I was only here for therapy I was supposed to be here for just 90 days I've been here over 2 years it's not an options ago to the house where I used to live the neighbors are not nice the one girl punch me in my eye three times not even do anything to her and my friend told me they said if I come back they were going to beat me up again alls I have is a little 7 lb chihuahua named Chloe I've had her since she was 3 months old she's now 11 years old and still feisty I'm sure you guys know what a Australian shepherd and different dog's do that round up the cattle the sheep goats whatever well the lady that's taking care of my dog is the Director of nursing that used to work here they've been so kind to pay for her food and her shots and putting up with her following them around I'm laughing whining because she wants a piece of their Pop-Tart or something lol but she's not like that all the time she is spoiled she's adorable if you seen a picture of her you'd love her anyway when Stephanie the old d.o.n starts scooping the cat food to take outside for a stray mother cat and two babies Chloe will get real excited and when Stephanie opens the sliding glass door Chloe runs outside and she starts hurting the cats making them come to the deck to get their food she'll go around one side to another bringing them to their food it's time to eat let's go! There was a day we never were apart she came with me in the hospitals because she's my service dog she came with me in all kinds of stores and there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't see her and now I haven't seen her January 15th will make a year that I haven't seen her because of the virus we had it here in the building I lost a lot of my friend's we don't have it now and they're being very proactive they check everybody workers and residents every week and the workers wear protective clothing I haven't seen her because I didn't want to take a chance of her getting sick I say it's a sacrifice of love but I do get to talk to her on the phone my mother's side of the family I only have cousins I helped raise seven of them I had plenty of money I bought a house I didn't work I was very fortunate to have that kind of money and those children are friends and family they all were good people it's just they had to work and they did not have the money to take their kids traveling or the time because of work so I took them everywhere and some of them asked me if they could call me Mommy that's why I didn't have children I felt like I raised my own kids I did a good job with them it's just with jobs families they travel and just busy with their own lives but a phone call now and then wouldn't hurt but I'm okay with it that's why I'll be moving on and doing what I want instead of worrying what everybody else wants me to do but today even though I'm crying now it's also a celebration of the love she left in our hearts and I feel bad for her new Husband they just got married September 2nd 2020 and I thank God they didn't put off getting Married and having a big wedding because of the virus they just went to the Justice of the Peace and if they didn't get married I know her husband would be so upset knowing that he didn't marry her she never had children either because of health reasons but she leaves a four-legged fur baby at times a little hellion Snuggles is her name now I'm laughing because she would want Candy even though she was not a lap dog she want Candy to hold her like a baby Candy would pet her and then she'd snap at her lol and I know Candy was joking and she said snuggles I swear if you bite me you lose your happy home now she really did lose her a happy home because her Mother is not there anymore and they loved that dog not this past Christmas but the Christmas before it snuggles jumped off the bed on Christmas Day they had to take her to the emergency after hours vet she broke a couple toes cost them $300 just to wrap it to hold it still and then the day after Christmas they took her to the regular vet and it cost them $400 for a cast you know they truly love her to spend that much on a snapper dog she's all white furry and Candy loved her my cousin didn't like her middle name I'm not going to say it because she didn't like people to know so she would tell people that her middle name was Cane she'd say my name is Candy Cane I looked at her and I said what the hell you sound like a stripper where's your Pole lol candy loved the snow I like it when it's in trees on the branches I think it makes a beautiful picture but I would tell her I wish it would stay off the roofs of houses your porch your driveway the streets and when it's on the branches not have it close to the house where it can fall in through the roof but I do like to take pictures of that and when you're looking out the window and there's a street light or some kind of light and you can see the snow blowing it's all laid up and pretty with a dark background I took pictures recently of that now I'm laughing we had so much fun with that so there's good memories and bad knowing she's not here but since she can't be here I know she's happy now we shared her with everybody here on Earth now she had to go with family in heaven. When my time come's and I wouldn't care if it was tomorrow of course I have lot's of friend's in this nursing home that are more like family than friend's I'll be happy too because then I get to be with my Father and Mother and the rest of my family. I love you Candy💗 I know you're enjoying your time in Heaven🌟✨

@@carlaw.8954 I’m sure Candy would be ecstatic at this message you’ve typed out. Obviously didn’t know her myself, but she seems like a sweet soul. I’m only 25 and my grandfather just passed on st Patrick’s day. Maggie In life, we receive a wonderful opportunity, and that is to love. Love comes in many forms. You love people in different ways and for different reasons, depending upon how they have touched your life. Love is a very powerful word and can describe a multitude of feelings, but its main context carries the same meaning.

Grew up loving this song. My "father" left the day I was born. I vowed to always be in my child's life no matter what. Becoming a father was the proudest moment of my life. To have someone who looks up to me, cares for me, and loves me is a feeling I can never describe. I would lay down my life for my daughter without hesitation. A father's love is unconditional.

For those 275 thumbs down folks, I'm sorry. I truly am. See my father left my Mom and me when I was just two. I get your pain. But for me, Jack's leaving turned out to be a blessing. As I grew older, I swore that should I ever have a family, I would never leave them. Flash forward to now. I've been married for 34 years to my one and only love. We have two beautiful, delightful daughters who are everything to us. Don't allow bitterness, it will spoil your life. Choose to love and watch what happens. I pray you will find love without end...

Don't doubt yourself. Just keep praying to God to open your heart more to Him and to have a closer walk with Him. Nobody's journey with God or to God is the same. Not everbody has an instantaneous change. Just know God knows you and your heart and He wants you to talk to Him no matter the time of day and no matter how big or small your requests or prayers are, He hears us and listens to us. @craigmiller4741
@craigmiller4741 3 жыл бұрын
Ina, George sang this song for you just like he told of it being one of Presidents Bush's favorites in this video. It's the way you think about it that keeps it a ? and a tear when you hear it. You don't have to reverse any words. It is in the way you interpret it when you hear it that counts and makes it yours. I'm sure he thought about how gender might be important in the way it was written. Your Faith in God is there to fill in any void you will ever experience in life. I too had a experience with that song where the words he sang were spot on in meaning but the lady I was helping was just that, a lady, a female. Her Father had just died and she had a unanswered question in her mind that she could not find the answer to. The unanswered question she had after her father died was would she ever see, hear from, feel the presence of, get advice from, be comforted by........her father that had just passed. She had not incorporated the years of him teaching her the right way and having her father still living inside of her while on this earth with the message of this song. In other words she wanted proof so to speak that she would see her father again and experience the security and comfort he provided her thru his love for her while on this earth. I was sitting with this person, this lady with the unanswered question one night in my truck outside of her house talking and it was just the two of us inside the truck. I was trying to explain to her she was just not reading the signs and thinking the right way about her father. She does see him, she does have him close inside of her 24/7, and she just needed accept that he is gone from this earthly world but close to her. What could I say to her that would answer her question and have that answer be received by her in a meaningful way. A way that stayed with her the rest of her life inside her so she didn't wonder about a question that God has already provided the answer she sought. As I was talking to her and she was still in the darkness of her doubts and worries and she was not really listening to what I was trying my best to get thru to her all of a sudden a bright falling star streaked across the night sky and illuminated our our conservation. This occured at the exact precise moment when I thought she need to be listening to me more and not blathering on about things casting more doubt upon her problem. We both sat there stunned for a brief moment not saying a word out loud but processing the many thoughts in our minds each in our own way. I finally broke the silence by asking her if she saw "that". Her answer to me was, without hesitation was, "That's my dad!" We both had the answer and the conformation of thought needed. She then started talking to me and saying things I had never heard before and she acted different toward me too. She was nice to me in a way that told me, without her saying the words, I get it Craig and understand what you were telling me in spite of me outwardly still going on when I should have been more respectful by listening to you and understanding what you were trying to help me with. It goes on. And this is where the song comes in.........I had to go to the local truck stop and return to her house that night. After I was puttering around in the parking lot straightening my truck interior up for many minutes I walked into the truck stop and walked over to and looked at the hats and gloves they had for sale. It was then as I stood there the noise being played on the overhead speakers became a recognizable song of George's that had just started to play for me. It was this song, A Love Without End , Amen. To have those two things happen to me where no one else in this world had anything to do with the timing and the message they both sent to her and to me together and seperate, is a A miracle to increase my Faith in God and to pass it on to you as I have here is my duty.
