So what do you do with all those empty bottles? George Strait is probably the most respected country singer. I mean the guy just makes good authentic traditional country songs and lives his life without drama. No one even knows the guys net worth and he's gotta be the wealthiest country singer ever. He's not out there for the fame or changing the way he sounds, no gimmicks. He's a real blessing because as long as he's around then country music still hangs in there by a thread. He's one of the very few OG's that can still get on mainstream radio and CMT and all that and that's a very good thing because mainstream country music is on life support imo.

I’ve been so excited for your first George Strait song…and this was a fabulous one to start with. Another one I’d like to recommend is his duet with Alan Jackson…”Murder on Music Row”…fans loved it, the industry not so much…it’s about the shift from traditional country to “pop” country. And GS has so many amazing songs, it’s hard to make a list.

Love this song! Weird you say it's about life. Years ago my nephew (by marriage) shot himself in the head. His Mom had this George Strait song played at his funeral, so I always think of him when I hear it. Yesterday an ex-worker of mine shot herself in the head. I'm still in shock even though I haven't seen her in years! I'm sad for all those involved! My biological father (who did not raise me) also shit himself in the head in 2011. This song is definitely about life & death to me.

Please George Jones A picture of me with out you. I grew up in a house with country music. Then I had the rock that I listed to. Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd plus many more great rock bands. I learned the love of country music at a young age. Brady Paisley and Dolly Parton, When I get to where I'm going.
