He carries a whole concert, just him & two dudes, no flash, no dancing girls, no fireworks. ROCK the way it's made to be doesn't need all that stuff.. .

When i was young i used to have George Thorogood appreciation evenings. We played him all night long. And if anyone wanted a different record they were thrown out . Saw him in concert once best one ever and ive seen some

this is the real deal. how the hell does he play like that without a pick? so much energy and passion. I bet everyone at that concert still remembers it to this day as the best show they ever saw. what a legendary performer.

More fingers to do the picking. In addition to Tommy Emanuel, Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, ...., check out the current crop of fingerstyle guitarists. To me, it's more of a wonder how people can play so well with a pick.

If Thorogood does not represent what rock and roll is, I wonder what it takes. It's this kind of 'performer' that made rock and roll so popular and will remain so. ------ Si Thorogood ne représente pas ce qu'est le rock and roll , je me demande ce que ça prends. C'est ce genre de 'performer' qui ont fait que le rock and roll est si populaire et le restera.
