"Ain't NOBODY more street than Big G" Y'all sleeping on that line, so lemme wake you up. George Washington has the most streets, routes, parkways, bypasses and bridges named after him in the US. He actually tops the list of presidential namesakes with at least 94 places that share his name. That includes historical forts, bodies of water, municipalities, counties, (he has 30 US counties and one parish named after him). On top of THAT, he also has streets named after him in *17 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.* These include: New Washington, a small town in Aklan Province, Philippines Washington Avenue (Italian: Viale Washington) in Rome, Italy Washington Avenue (German: Washington Allee) in Hamburg, Germany Washington Island, a coral atoll belonging to Kiribati And last but not least: Washington Street... *IN GLASGOW, SCOTLAND, WILLIAM WALLACE'S COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.* Wallace doesn't have that kind of clout. So in LITERAL interpretation, George Washington is absolutely correct. *Ain't NOBODY more "street" than Big G.*

@@chewymew Yes. They actually are. I didn't use Wikipedia as a source, either. Washington has streets named after him in foreign countries. It's a fact. The name itself is a name of origin and refers to place names in England, such as Washington, Tyne and Wear, from which the ancestors of George Washington are said to have come. The word became a surname in 1183 when William de Hertburn took the name William de Wassyngtona. In 1657, the name came to Virginia. It later gained prominence due to General (later president) George Washington. In addition to the genealogical origin and spread of the surname, it was also (as with Abraham Lincoln and other persons associated with abolition of slavery in America) *a favored assumed surname of freed slaves and thus a widely spread surname among the black population of the US.* So no, it wasn't a common surname in Europe, and it wasn't popular nor widespread *until George Washington became President.* His name is attached to his ancestral home, and it now stands as *the blackest name in the United States alone. First and last name.* My point still stands. *Ain't nobody more street than Big G.*
