From someone who has a large garden and preserves her own food.......mason jars are designed to last forever. I still water bath and pressure can with jars that are over 60 yrs old. They hold up great and are able to hold up against pressure and extreme heat. Because they are glass they can be sanitized. Glass never goes bad unless it breaks or cracks. Glass is as frugal as it can get.

I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem - greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Tracy Britt Cool Consulting my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

I'm 56 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I'd suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

In the 80's my Dad worked a modest job, Mom stayed at home and raised the kids, and they lived a nice middle class lifestyle including owning a home. Nowadays both I and my partner works and can barely afford to make ends meet. Soon the kids and family dog will need to work to keep this household going. It's the destruction of the American dream right before our eyes.

For so long they were told that consumption supports economy. Even under this video someone already mentioned this is bad for the economy. LOL Also, people always need to see the likes of them doing the same thing. Crowd mentality. I am 50, always have been savvy, but even I have trouble following some frugalistas on KZbin. I’ve worked hard to save about $800,000 for retirement, and now I’m ready to turn my savings into a paycheck. But how much can I afford to withdraw from savings and spend is what I don’t know. Thanks for imparting wisdom and humor, plus the Captain ranking :) Also, just realized I've been watching for a long time now and hadn't subscribed, so just did that. Always enjoy the videos and Smart Money Happy Hour!

2:20 I know this isn't exactly what she's doing here, since de-potting is an efficient way to buy less makeup by purchasing only the shades you need rather than a whole kit each time, but using or combining old and used makeup can cause breakouts and infections to occur. There's cheap, and then there's harmful.

I love how these kids think they are doing something new by wearing clothes longer than one season. When my son was about 12 yrs. old (now 32) he came home from school and told me and my husband that he and his friends had discovered a new band that had the coolest music. My husband (his dad) asked what the name of the band was and he said ACDC. We just laughed.
