When I learned it was George I was so amazed by that feeling that he'd matured so much in his music with this song . His voice in the crescendo in the Bridge and then back to that calm telling of the story in the finale . Just so wonderfully superb ❤ What a guy 😊❤⚘ What a song .

George Michael sang Kissing a Fool as if his voice were a quiet storm rolling across an empty landscape. It carried the weight of a thousand unsent love letters, each syllable dipped in longing and regret. His voice was a smooth, smoky river, winding through valleys of jazz and soul, always steady yet trembling with unspoken truths. It was velvet dipped in shadow, warm but tinged with a cool sadness, like the last rays of sunlight before dusk surrenders to night. Each note seemed to echo in a vast cathedral of heartache, filling the space between hope and resignation. When he reached the song's crescendos, his voice cracked ever so slightly, like glass on the verge of breaking-a poignant reminder of the fragility of love and the inevitability of loss. It wasn’t just a song; it was a confession, a quiet plea wrapped in melody, revealing both vulnerability and strength. Hearing him was like staring into the ocean at midnight, endless and mysterious, knowing you’ll never grasp its depths but feeling its pull all the same.
@EuuerHjewAje6elАй бұрын
To create something as timeless as Kissing a Fool is to open yourself to the depths of human emotion, to bare your soul in a way that resonates with others. It weaves heartbreak and heartache to both intimacy and universality, echoimg the rawness of truth and the vulnerability of love. The lyrics cascade and resonate like whispered secrets, each line unraveling threads of the soul. This is a symphony of deep longing-bittersweet, tender, and alive with the ache of life itself. How this song has touched me so!

@rogeroliverbennett658 жыл бұрын
I agree completely with everything you say, Victor Ram. It is clear that this song has a strong, personal meaning for George Michael. According to the Wikipedia entry on Kissing A Fool, Michael wrote the song to express his concerns that he was not suitable material as a romantic partner because of the 'baggage' (and fame) that he came with; he also apparently recorded the vocal in a single take -- this was also a hallmark of Aretha Franklin. What is apparent is that his interpretation of the song makes it a torch-song. :-)
