My heart is really aching right now! I just turned 18, but I'm so obsessed with 80s and 90s music. Up until recently (for me personally), Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross were the best vocalist out of the 80s. But I discovered George Michael this year thanks to Mariah Carey's cover of this song... I was literally just becoming so obsessed with this man. For the past few weeks I started watching all of his videos and learning his songs.... including the stuff from his Wham! days... I was even brave enough to play his music for the first time in the car with other people...literally the day before he died. As an inspiring singer-songwriter, he had become one of the only male vocalists and writers who really inspired me. I just knew that I'd get the chance to tell him how much he meant to me. His artistry was unbelievable! I even recently uploaded my cover of this very song! I hope I did him true justice. #RIPGeorgeMichael

I did in the sense that I am now able to create the art I want, and have enough people to share it with even though I'm obviously not the most popular artist in the place. Had I not "made the jump" and focused on improving my skills I'd likely be living a miserable life without the possibility of turning dark thoughts and moments into something beautiful through my art. If you do have a passion, it's never too late to start dedicating time to it, I believe art is the essence of human life, and it's what remains of us when we're gone. :)

He achieved seven number one songs on the UK Singles Chart and eight number one songs on the US Billboard Hot 100. Michael won various music awards including two Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, three American Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards and six Ivor Novello Awards. George is a musician who transcends genre, stereotype, and maybe, just maybe, some laws of physics! I love Stevie Wonder, whom George loved as well. However, George is an even better singer. His soul was made to sing! I feel every word of this song when he sings. If you're here, you know this is just the tip of the iceberg. His genuis knew know bounds! He wrote, "Everything She Wants" on a quick bus ride at 17!! That song is my vibe! I was raised on 70s and 80s music. To this day, he is the best male singer, and I miss him terribly! RIP, Sir George. You don't know it, but you're a great friend to me!

@Indigogoddess1111 Stevens Yup he has said it in several interviews. Did you know that he also said he wrote this song and Edge Of Heaven about Pat Fernandes the backup singer for Wham he dated for years? He admits the songs are connected to the same woman but not to her name but those around him have said it was about her. She finally totally broke up with him in 1986 as she hated his megastar status but supposedly they still loved each other. Back then we all didn't realize every song he wrote was about a real life experience so the song makes me feel its depth even more now that I know it was straight from a personal experience he was living.

This beautiful song is a masterpiece that reminds me of my Father who was a teacher and he and I had our differences in our lives. But, we both learned so much about each other when I was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer and it opened a window of opportunity for us to get to know each other so well. Then, he recently passed and I hear the part where he says teacher had said goodbye. And that tears my heart out. I truly miss my Father who spent his entire life teaching high school students, and he taught me how to be the daughter he truly loved! I resemble him so much, also!
