I honestly like it. First phase punishes you for being too defensive. Sam parry's, dodges, and attacks way more requently. You have to play more agressive and faster if you want to be able to make an opening and land hits. 2nd phases punishes you for being too aggressive. Sam's grabs are unblockable and launch fast, punishing you for running towards him sword flailing, and you have to rely on timing your dodge effectively. That's why the person in the video kept getting grabbed and countered. He also has a barely telgraphed yellow indicator counter that punishes you for button mashing. Phase 3 takes elements from both phases, requiring you to be both. I dont think this mod can be made any more better

Hahaha that ending. Finally my man won't die after a single parry, that is you can't land it all huh. Imagine if he would've used his own unblockable parry more often, even more so to counter yours? Also damn, him chaining these dashes at incredibly fast speed, a bit closer to canon Sam amirite? And finally you can't break his block. Yeah, Sam deserves buffs - he was the hardest boss for me in the game at the time, but after learning him enough he's a breeze, even without Revengeance diff parry abuse, same situation as with The Edge in Furi. I mean, Sam is just too "fair", pretty much everything he does is very telegraphed and can be easily blocked or dodged, and blocking as Raiden is incredibly no-brain in MGR, unless you encounter really fast attack chains like Monsoon's, which Sam barely has, iirc there's like only 1 combo with two very fast slashes. Sam is not aggressive and fast enough in vanilla, and speedrunning him with a parry is an exquisite meme of course but kinda dumb, Revengeance was meant to be the highest difficulty, not the easiest one (unless gorillas lmao)...

Oh I can easily imagine. - shit direction from the burnt out kinoshita-san who doesn't care to play the game - writers dumbing down the original levels of cringe and unhingeness in order to make it about the power of friendship and "revenge bad", every villain is killed by other villains or unfortunate circumstances and not by the protagonist - the budget of Blue lock season 2, half of the fights are powerpoint presentations, the other half is moving pngs in the style of One punch man season 2 - the first season covers the story up until the fight with Mistral, season 2 never comes out because the merch only makes 300% profit instead of expected 1500% - annoying mexican kids take 150% more screen time because saving innocent kids is what the great Kojima considered good writing - complementary gacha game where you can roll a limited SSR mariachi Raiden with 0.6% rate - the original music is replaced with some jrock because of jp corpo autism But all jokes aside, the adaptations of the action manga/games are almost always done very very poorly. Making good animation requires budget and a deep care for the source material, I can count the successful adaptations on one hand.

If this was done on revengence difficulty, i don’t think you would be rocking those four Repair Nanopastes, let alone your consciousness much longer as of about 2:47 lol “You got Sam’d. Do that again.” Nice job in all honesty though. The updated AI you apparently added for him actually makes him seem a lot more like Raiden’s Equal in terms of sword prowess. And i say this under the assumption that based on your skills here, you have completely or at least nearly “mastered” the game’s combat system. I cant even reliably parry monsoon’s body toss chain, no-hit a Mastiff, or do that Offensive Defense slash thing, to be honest.
