Wonderful song written by the late great Leon Russell - brought tears to Willie’s eyes when Ray sang it towards the end of his life. Those 3 on one stage - what can I say? ❤

Jamie's performance was epic, he was born to play that role... Just like Denzel portraying the great Malcolm X.🖤

Jamie is an amazing performer and actor. The movie wouldn’t have been as epic as it turned out to be without him. His mom and the kid who played his childhood scenes were equally brilliant. I even tear up a bit with the agony of the kid turning blind. It could be a movie but it is real life struggle of many people. Bravo to all the cast and most importantly the owner of the story itself , Ray Charles Robinson ! RIP

The song is impeccably one of the most beautiful songs ever written and recorded. Although he didn’t write it he did put his own touch to it and turned it into the song we all know and love today. If it wasn’t for him this song would probably have never seen the light of day. Could you imagine this song never existing 😭

This movie impacted me so much as a kid. I remember, 3rd grade I was in class singing this. Everbody including the substitute were saying, "what is that this is texas, what are you talking about" and my childhood buddy, old sports teammate Dallas said, "he saw the movie Ray last night, I did too at my house"... broke color barriers, Dallas Blackstock is white 😂😂😂😂😂. Since then me and Dallas had an unspoken bond, even today on the street when we see eachother we yell ones name, hug and dap it up like kids. I credit this movie, this song and Ray Charles for the relationship I got w that dude.

@Thomas Gary: Please try not to b sooo judgemental. Throughout this life there's soooo much going on & since we r all on different journeys we r definitely going to miss some marvelous events. Many times later tho we may b blessed to discover & hear & see & ENJOY them later. I've read where this has happened to quite a few of us. And it's such a pleasure when our lives finally do find them; causes us to wonder where n that stream of time were we & what were we doing then. (Sometimes during our struggles we really don't want to remember.) However, when we do discover these simply amazing talents--all we can do is ever enjoy them & go--WOW!! AND APPLAUD them to the HIGHEST☺️🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️💯☀️🌺🌺🌺🎶🎶🎶🎀🎀🌹🌹🌹🎵🎵🎵🥰🎵🎵🎵🎀🎀🌟🌟🌟

Civilized? Blacks were not the ones responsible for lynchings, massacres, and many other horribly insane terrorist acts along with their Sunday service picnics for decades!
