I ate Georgian food in Georgia :) There is beautiful town Signagi. There you can see beautiful views of Alazan valley, walk on beautiful streets, breath super clean air and eat super tasty food. My favourite Georgian food is hinkali, hachapuri and sweet churchhella. The best churchhella is from Signagi. Also in Signagi you can visit art museum with original artworks of Nikolo Pirosmani.

We live in Canada's capital, Ottawa. My Mother grew up in Brampton. I was born in Winnipeg and have lived in Cold Lake Alta.. My Ukrainian relatives were Manitoba wheat farmers, but I'm an Air Force "Brat". All the Ukrainian food is so Yummy but very labour-intensive. You make wonderful videos and are a real cute couple. You can see my balcony between 0:08 and 0:21. And slowly but surely Kyiv is turning to a destination for foodies. FYI, these guys (see the link below) regularly cover new eateries of all sorts here and elsewhere in Ukraine and the range of variation is gobsmacking! Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos thats the funny part! at whole food’s oh so trendy food bar and the coffee bean (LA’s starbucks).. they sell lunch boxes with dolma and a side of hummus lol. WF’s dolma is actually pretty good but meat-filled dolma is not that common, I think we get the turkish version, which is rice.. still good! and vegan-friendly.
@pacadamianmotato7 жыл бұрын
Actulally dolma is Azerbaijani food. Dolma means 'filled up': doldurmaq - to fill, and your add -a suffix which makes it filled up. SO that your grape leaf is filled up.

The name itself is Turkic. I don't know where the dish itself originated from. Armenians and Turks argue over it very often. We, Georgians mostly don't consider it as originally Georgian and it's not one of the most popular dishes here, but we make it too. But we don't call it dolma, we call it tolma.
