I respectfully disagree. What about Aborigine's music? Great music is everywhere. One just have to look for it. We, Bulgarians like to keep our ancestor's music and tradition's alive, because we know it's great value - tried and tested in times of great sorrow. It helped get us through the darkest times in our long history. This is our blood and soul, our past and our future.

@@sandramorey2529 no aboriginal culture is taught in school nor are their songs. Their culture is not common knowledge in our education system so I would argue again that Australian culture does not have any songs about our ancestry and culture

@@AussieStandsWithRussiaAs a newcomer Bulgarian migrant in Australia I tried to find history books in the local library to learn more about the Australian history prior to the arrival of the First Fleet. There were no such books available which shocked me. This was in the late 90’s but I believe little has changed. The only book I found later on this topic was Dark Emu. Aboriginal history is amazing but it doesn’t equate with Australian history, traditions and values, which are mostly British.

This music must never be forgotten, as it tells of the woes of a nation burdened. I am from Ireland and we too suffered 900 hundred years of tyrannical suppression. Always in my thoughts are nations like Bulgaria, Armenia, Palestine and my own Motherland alongside so many more, for the most beautiful art, literature & music is found in places like these, expressed through the woes of our ancestors and the pain they suffered...a tyranny, which sadly, to this day still exists on earth....we must learn to love and rid the world of this hollow darkness. Peace & Love to you all and thank you to the Philip Koutev Choir and the people of Bulgaria for such beautiful music...Peace

Mene je isto "Malka moma" dovela do ove pesme. Ako volite ovakvu muziku, toplo preporucujem Desislavu sa horom Misterija bugarskih glasova, ta harmonija je nesto carobno, van ovog sveta. Takodje, potrazite sountrack BBC filma "The Virgin Queen" glavni score je upravo od tog hora i predivno zvuci, pogotovo track 13 "Remember me" koji je na bugarskom. Pozdrav!

It was my birthday. It was raining and I had torturing boots on my feet. We went to see the choir but it was raining so much... They put all the audience inside the stage and performed. I came out with my heart inside my hands. It was beautiful!

Deum, for real maybe there is something codded in the DNA. I hear that song for first time and I'm barely holding my tears, how that is happening? Crazy! And I'm from Bulgaria- Rhodopes, so that's why I'm saying that, that's my ancestor traditional music and without hearing that particular one song not even once, I almost cried and actually I didn't cried coz I stopped myself, coworkers are around me. So for whoever read this, think about it. How is that possible? Are we reincarnated? There is something more I don't know what it is, but for sure there is something more out of LIFE! That was my monologue for the deep thinkers like me.
