For a while I was in a rut. Couldn't seem to get bites. I found out that I had forgotten the old school basics that I always saw my grandpa and dad throw. I finally put down the latest and greatest lures I was throwing because that's what everyone else is throwing. I tied on a zoom mag ii ribnontail worm ( tequila sunrise) and commenced to cleaning house. Don't over think it.

Yes Sir Gerald!... so easy to get lost in the world of a million baits Being pushed and promoted. Just as easy to forget that the obvious, and the most simple is usually the best way. Confidence breeds success... I try and remember that before I spend hours throwing all my fancy stuff, and catching nothing.. sometimes it just needs to be said... thanks

Gerald I am just getting back to into fishing and I currently use a green go to rod by googan and has done me good so far. However I am wanting to get into crank bait fishing pretty heavy and I like to know what kind of rod at a price point no more than $200 bucks should I truly get. I have been hearing alot about glass rods but again I been away from fishing for at least 20yrs I personally would like your honest & professional input on crank rods thank you & God bless you & ya family..

G will be in the Hall of Fame. I say Texas rig worm and a spinnerbait. A spinner bait is the most versatile bait there is. You can change the blades, the weight, color. Fish it in all depths. The possibilities are endless with a spinner bait. Fish it in all depths.

My favorite angler of all time, hands down. The man is the definition of confidence, has more heart and passion for the sport of competitive bass fishing than two handfuls of a lot of today's greenies. Last but surely not least, and above all else, he's a God fearing, gun toting, bass fishin', red blooded AMERICAN family man. Amen to that brotha-man! Come on back now, and lets hear about them there dude wipes that you should be the CEO of!!
