That's because of war propaganda and hollywood movies in which they use german characters, who cannot even speak German, as enemies. German is a very rich and beautiful language. It's one of the best languages for poetry and singing.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob Sie das jemals sehen werden, aber Id möchte persönlich eine deutsche Version von "wir treffen uns wieder" von Vera Lynn sehen. this is a comfort song for me, it would mean a lot to me if you did this, as i fail to find anyone else whom translates songs so well .
