My German go-to Sunday breakfast is boiled egg, tea or coffee, some bread rolls / bread / toast with a variety of either sweet stuff (nutella-like hazelnut spread, marmalade, honey or Rübenkraut) or savory stuff (any cheese that has a taste of its own, meats, spreads). If I remember to buy Quark or cream cheese, I like to combine it with marmalade or honey, but it gets really runny then, so you have to eat fast. If I'm feeling it, I add a small bowl of Müsli to the breakfast, or some fruit. If we're fancy (or it has been a special offer) there's salmon. Of course with horseradish for everyone who can bear it, it goes really well together. Just don't overdo it with the radish; it can overpower the salmon. But afterwards, your sinuses will be free. (By the way, the horseradish "sauce" is more on the pasty side, so I'd rather call it a spread, I think.) Everyday breakfast is usually only one or two slices of bread with something sweet or savory on them, and a cup of coffee or tea. Or a bowl of Müsli and a glass of milk.

What you see as typical German breakfast is more the typical evening meal ( supper ) in a hospital. You will not stay there one day longer as necessary.

What is tater tods? (How do you write it) Topfen, as we say in Austria....thick but you can get the lesser fat Variant. Mostly for sweets but it can be used in different ways. Just add salt pepper or sweet. Topfennockerl, Topfenknödel, Topfenpalatschinke , Topfengolatsche.i use it more for baking but maybe others do know of other dishes where you need it. Do you know Mascarpone? It has kind of a same thickness.

Tater tots are grated potatoes formed into small cylinders and deep-fried, often served as a side dish. The name "tater tot" is a registered trademark of the American frozen food company Ore-Ida (a subsidiary of the Kraft Heinz Company since 1965), but is often used as a generic term. "Tater" is short for potato. It's similar to Reiberdatschi (Kartoffelpuffer).

Those guys were kind of the original channel for Germany + USA comparison videos. I mean they started 14 years ago and effectively stopped regular content 9 years ago. Had they not stopped making videos, they'd very likely be old school professional influencers by now... I do wonder what they're actually up to now.

idk...but burger and ham i dont realy know in germany as breakfest. Maybe duo to the infuluence from other cultures in the last years. We eat cold cuts, eggs, nutella, jam and different kind of vegetables. Not rar is as well smoked salmon cuts some times. For drinking we go with coffee, tee, milk or cocoa
