I could see a well disciplined mid-block team giving Germany a lot of issues based on what you said. Kind of like how Porto frustrated Arsenal in the first leg of the UCL round of 16 this year. Am I seeing that correctly?

I think the biggest problem for germany will actually be the lack of a true goal poacher. The problems outwide can be an issue, but with elite deep creators like kimmich and wirtz, i think they should be able to create vs deep blocks, its just the actual finishing with having havertz in the box rather then a true 9. on top of that, i don't think they have a true transition threat. Wirtz and musiala will be good on the counter, but not elite transition threats. but with players like gundogan and wirtz, i think theyll have enough in the crunch time moments to get through. Defo a favourite.

I honestly think Germany, England, and France have the best teams in the whole tournament. Maybe Portugal as well. Maybe I’ll regret saying this after tonight, but I also think Scotland’s team is very underrated. It’s not like they’re gonna win the whole thing, but I think they could be tougher to beat than people expect. Their midfield and attack is very good.
