I'm halfway to monetized on my randotechnerd channel. One of the best ways I've gotten watch hours is from my live 3D prints. I saw on your channel that you've done a live stream i bet if you keep them up you can get there quickly. One thing I've noticed is if i wait about a day to make my live public then i get more credited watch hours

I'm an ASMR journaling channel (very niche). I've already implemented the combining my videos into 1 hour long episodes, and those do work well! I get more watch time with those. I struggle with finding the time to sit down and film just a longer video. My typical video usually only lasts about 7 to 8 minutes long. But I'm going to start trying to make 20+ long videos and see how they go. I'm on the struggle bus for the watch time hours. Thanks for this insight!

I hope you guys unlisted instead of deleting all those nate videos, according to trusted sources if you delete the videos, it deletes the watch time history of the viewer, essentially deleting your returning viewers
@ChannelMakers3 ай бұрын
We definitely put a lot of thought into what to do with that old content. I believe the only ones that were deleted were videos where Nate had intentionally misled/confused viewers or lied explicitly. After we realized everything he was doing, we reviewed all the worst content and got rid of it. The rest has been privated as part of our channel pivot. It's been a crazy process, but we're seeing great progress in our analytics! - Nathan

@@ChannelMakerswell that comment of yours leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth. So much for amicable split. Nate fronted this channel for ages - doing it very well - and I very much doubt any sophisticated KZbinr thought he was the one and only person doing every single thing (all successful channels have other people involved - it’s too much work otherwise) or was confused by what he was saying.
@ChannelMakers3 ай бұрын
@@NekonataVirino I'm sorry it leaves a nasty taste in your mouth, that was not my intention. The unfortunate truth is that the split was anything but amicable even though we tried to make it amicable. Upon leaving this channel, Nate took very calculated and intentional steps to discredit us and our team while pretending he wanted the best for us. Also, yes, he did front the channel and did grow in popularity, but once we took the wheel we were shocked to see some of the things he had done and said. It really is unfortunate. I, personally was friends with Nate, my family went to his house for dinner, him and I considered starting side projects together. I trusted him. I was completely blindsided by what he did and how he treated me once he left. I understand where you're coming from, and while I have chosen not to shout everything from the rooftops, if someone asks about what happened, it is my responsibility to tell the truth. -Nathan

KZbin is becoming hell ... I just can't understand the logic of long form content especially really long videos...people have shorter attention spans. Why serve them endless videos? Also, it is totally undemocratic. Instead of encouraging viewers to discover shorter videos made by different creators KZbin encourages viewers to watch endless videos from just a few creators...it just doesn't make sense !

@ChannelMakers3 ай бұрын
This Channel wasn't getting 50k views when Nate was here, but ok. Yes, our baseline views are lower, but they are growing, not to mention we've started and monetized multiple channels in the past year AND consulted with multiple creators and businesses helping them 10x their revenue and views. But I guess we aren't worth listening to..... :) All Nate did was pretend to grow a channel from the ground up and capitalize on other people's success. It's what he does best. KZbin is not what he does best. Sure, he gets decent views right now, but there's a lot more to KZbin than views! Rock on! 🤘🤘 Nathan
