So the deeper within that I go, and the more I listen for the chant to resonate with the posture, the more my spinal posture aligns, it seems (what's the best way I can think of to describe this). I have an injury to my right shoulder that I have verified is not a rotator cuff issue. I'm getting my range of motion back in that shoulder now. I have been modifying the poses once I had the doctors look at it first to make sure that I wouldn't do any damage. I wanted to say that last bit publicly because we have to be as smart as possible about these things. Use all of our resources!

In fact, there is much less pain when I lift the right arm. Now. I can't lift it all the way up without pain yet, but I'm getting there! But I made sure that I didn't have a tear before all of this.

Salimah, I usually enjoy every session you created. They’ve been very helpful. However, this one, everytime I try, it makes me really angry to the point - I scream, I punch myself, floors and I hurt my hands and being agitated, I get ended up feeling much much worse than before I started. What does this mean? Please let me know. Thank you Salimah🙏
@YogaVisionOnline Жыл бұрын
Hello Em M, thanks for asking. I don’t know you or your life story so I can offer a general response. The medicine stirs up our “stuff”. When we move the body in specific ways, use breathwork and meditation it creates shifts and changes and unearths old feelings and sensations. It’s uncomfortable to look at it - and we react, shut down, get sick, get emotional, act out, stop practicing. This is all part of the process of recognizing the unmet needs or unhealed parts - either yours specifically or something in your ancestral lineage. It’s not wrong or bad but can feel yucky depending on what comes up. So question is - can you get at that info in another way so you can see it, feel it and heal it? Or do you want to go through this kriya to get there? No right or wrong answer - something to consider. I’ve personally had experiences with kriyas that made me sick - long story - and I choose to take in the lesson and let go of the kriya. Now I know I have that block and I’ve found others ways to work it out. The kriya is probably a faster route - but I choose health over the reaction.

Salimah, I have a report back to you. I actually wanted to just try one more time this session. I was on a period and as you guide, I skipped breath of fire, and I was fine this time. I take birth control, but wasn’t sure if I could be considered pregnant, so I did it until you let people who have anxiety and panic attack to stop. I have anxiety treated for a long time, also have had a panic attack a few times in the past. When I see other practice of yours I saved and practice, they don’t have breath of fire. I wonder if breath of fire is a triggering thing for me. I’d be greatly appreciate if you have any feedback on this. Thank you.
@YogaVisionOnline Жыл бұрын
@@emm9115 yes breath of fire can be triggering for anxiety and other emotions. I suggest doing the kriya for anger and allow yourself to understand that emotion more for yourself.
