Such a pretty bay! So sad though that those ever present cranes have become a part of the scenery throughout Malta and Gozo! Glad to see you up and about and hopefully pain-free.

TRANQUIL BIRZEBBUGA 🌊 ⛱️. Nice and still non-heavy commercialized beach front 🚶⛵. In a way, shame about the Freeport!! 🤔. The RAF used to have a Lido/Beach Club there. Urchins = "Rizzi" 😋 Steve, best times for fishing are around Sunrise 🌅 and Sunset 🌇 - best times for fish to bite 🐟 🎣. Thanks Steve 🚶🎥. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ❤️ 🇪🇺

Yes I love it down there, Golden bay is only few mins away but it gets so busy with students in summer .I guess the freeport had to go somewhere?

Remembered Birżebbuġa' we would drive through on our way to Kalafrana before they destroyed it by bulldozing and building the monstrosity that is the Freeport today. Kalafrana was such a lovely place. Just my thoughts, they destroyed this part of the coast line of Malta by putting Freeport here.
@EnglishmaninMalta5 ай бұрын
Yes I guess it was destroyed but anywhere they put it would have been the same, and its helped Malta so much ?

Very unfriendly people... not helpful at all! I think that you are looking at it through rose coloured glasses. I spent a year living there, and no one would help me with directions. I lost my cat because of the ridiculous fireworks, and no one (except for a couple of shops), not even the parish priest (he was a nasty piece of eork), would help with making announcements. I was miserable for more than a year. Now I avoid it like the plague. 😢

Not sure why you had the problems could it be your approach? Not only B'Bugia but most of locals are lovely people, saying that like all countries there are some strange people, Just my feelings and experiences, I have been coming and going for many years from the seventies and have sesn a change in the Maltese people, Saying that even in my own city in UK
