"Have the hustle like it has to get done tomorrow, but the patience to wait a life time" That's it. That's the goal!

The definition of success is the total comittment to one thought or one idea for a long period of time. Your video is the recipe to be successful.

That is the path to success, not the definition.

12 minute mark is GOLD and 100% true. Many of the people we follow are hyping up what they are doing now, not what got them where they are. I love reading books by founders to see what they did. As an example read Walter Isaacson’s book on Elon Musk, or Shoe Dog by Phil Night. I got screwed up in my 30s thinking I needed to have seven businesses because a few of the people I followed, had many businesses. But I failed to realize was for 20 years. They did one business and got to a major level and then started acquiring other companies. I love your analogy, look at the recipe at the final product

@@matt_plapp shoe dog is a personal favorite! It is crazy hearing the back story of such an iconic company. Helped me realize that even the best of the best have been on the brink of failure many times. It’s only a success story today because of the persistance to keep moving forward.

That's the case you're spelling on average $100 an hour for 40 hours a week over a total of 38 weeks. Unless you're averaging closer to 50 hours then it kind of makes sense. But either way great job man you're telling it corporations would kill for those numbers

@Tobynsocks 40 is a must. Easily 50 to 60 hours a week for 30 weeks, then dial back to 20 to 30. Take the month of January off most seasons. I still have jobs on the books, so I will probably work this January.

Wow! 194k subscribers!!! Congratulations Mike! I started watching you back when your channel was 5k. I never understood why people didn’t subscribe to your channel and I am glad people are finally seeing the value on the gold nuggets you put out there. Owning my business I found little value from most channels but still subscribe and supported others in my trade.

Love this video. To add to the point he made at the end of the video, The largest construction companies in the world were started over 100 years ago. With the rare exception Most of them didn’t get their first big commercial projects until they were around 15-20 years.

That last part is so true about the first 5 yrs, but at what point should you give up and move to a new endevor? Some people say you have to fail several times before you find the perfect endeavor.

One thing I feel like owners of businesses need to do more is invest in their employees... i e don't take them for granted. If you have a good employee you should be paying them more than anyone else would. Because they're worth more to you than to train someone new. However there is a trade-off because money does not buy loyalty a lot of times it just buys entitlement. We as owners should take pride in what our employees are able to do in their lives
