I had a large Baker's cyst behind my left knee when I was 6. My parents' friend noticed it. First, the Dr. tried to drain the cyst, but eventually a surgeon removed it. The scar looks fine except for one end where the stitching obviously became undone, leaving a larger scar.

I fell 2 years ago and developed a baker's cyst in my left knee. Dr won't aspirate it because it's on a nerve. I have had steriod injection. But now its worn off and the pain has started. Will try these exercises.

I had a cyst aspirated yesterday. Actually he didn't aspirate that actual cyst, but the fluid in the front of the knee. The injury occurred after a yoga stretch. It's not the first one. I had one on the same leg several years ago. I would like to know whether knee replacement is necessary to solve the problem. Would it be silly to refuse knee replacement? They have said there is only slight wear and tear on the knee. I dont really want a surgery if it's unnecessary. Thank you for the exercises.

Because I haven't seen you personally, I cannot specifically give you medical advice. But what I would say is, if you have "slight wear and tear" I personally wouldn't be thinking knee replacement, but if this is a chronic issue and you've done strength and rehab exercises for a while and nothing seems to be working then I suggest you get multiple dr. opinions before going under the knife. If it's a cartilage issue there are knee braces to help decompress the knee and I suggest stability exercises to help reduce friction in the knee joint. I hope these exercises in this video bring some relief and I'll look into making a KZbin video regarding knee stability exercises soon!

@@ponypalpaula you should feel relief right after the procedure but sometimes it can take up to 24-48 hours.
