Basically want to know if the product is still at its strongest waiting there to be rained in or should I water it then.

Good for shade and privacy but has become a luxury resort for all kinds of things. Spiders lizards gnats flies squirrels snakes. I just want to enjoy my backyard now. What are your recommendations for getting rid of my backyard zoo and not have to cut the tree down. Thank you in advance for any help you can give. 😊. NEW SUBBIE!!
@TheALG4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Charlotte. You appear to have a cycle of life in your backyard and the goal is to break that cycle. If you aim to o ly get rid of the bugs, the lizards and other bug eaters will go away. Work on spraying the tree and surrounding area with a product like Sevin for example. It is safe to apply on your tree. Spray at the base and go as high up as possible. More than one application will be needed. There's not much you can do for the lizards but getting rid of their food source will force the lizards to move on. Make sure you apply pesticides on your lawn and foundation. You don't want to force the bugs to move towards your house. I hope this helps. Just to give you an idea, I have dealt with the same issue and I found once the bugs are gone, all other unwanted pest will over time go away.

It's cheaper to just buy a product like Bifenthrin XTS and a cheap gallon sprayer. For that $50 you'll be able to treat your yard 40 times instead of once. For another $90 you can get a gallon of imidacloprid which will treat your yard for subsurface bugs like grubs 100 times.

When using the bug seeds, can you always use weed and feed or malorganite and etc the same time or is that too much for same day?
@TheALG3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can always apply all those at the same time. They don't interact with each other. I would only use caution when its really hot, like over 85 degrees with weed &feed or any chemical fertilizer. I once used an insecticide, fungicide, fertilizer and preemergent on the same day without any issues.
@Ricebow113 жыл бұрын
@The Average Lawn Guy if your already using the granular for bugs and etc, would you also use the hose end sprayers too, same time? And are these safe if sprayed or seed on edible vegetables, plants and etc

I believe sevin hose end spray would be your best best. Just check the back of the label to make sure. You may have an underlying issue because gnats are attracted to moisture and decaying matter. Flies are very annoying. What I do is a combination of spray insecticide with the fly traps and that usually brings down the population by a good portion. I also use water in ziploc bags, this gives off a reflection that the flies seem to hate and stay away. I have no scientific proof the ziploc works but its worth a try, it might help you.
