I’ve had my 1 1/2” DK lift done for some time now and it’s holding up nicely. I kept it on the tank when removing the tank for other work too. Looks and fits great

lol, yeah. Dwayne works on videos, and the rest of the time with Customer Service. We talk to hundreds and hundreds of folks each week....we hear it all. Plus, when designing parts we have to engineer into our parts the ability to adjust for Harley's varying production variables. (lack of consistency).

For wrapping wires with a tape I'd personally recommend a fabric tape especially a good quality product. Coroplast is a great product looks very factory. Tessa makes a good fabric tape but really sticky and isn't as visibly appealing.

Gaffers tape (fabric type) may be nice. In normal applications it does not leave a sticky residue when removed. Will give it a try next time....but I think the heat will not be nice to the sticky stuff. Silicone tape is immune to the heat and leaves no residue.

@@DKCustomProducts corolplast is what I used when I worked for ford doing wiring harness repairs, it's oil resistant to a degree and has pretty good heat resistance.

ignition between the cylinders, how hot does the ignition/key gets?

It gets warm, not too hot to handle, and less hot than the ignition key that is stock in that location on some HD models. There is a silicone isolator that come with the kit that goes between the ignition housing and the bracket. 👍 Thanks for looking at our parts. 👍😎👍

Great job boys on the wire tuck. With the 2” tank lift, does it change the amount of fuel the pump can pick up or not really. Cheers and keep up the awesome videos.

Definitely interested in doing this to my 01 Sporty. I have OEM style turn signals with wires coming out of the signal that I want to clean up as well. Not sure if anyone has experience with that

Hopefully someone will chime in with some ideas. We normally remove the OEM signals and go with LED running lights/signals like seen in this video- kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqjVo2Wln5egfKs They can get really tucked in and are much brighter. @DKCustomProducts as of right now I'm using the OEM housings and swapping out the bulbs for LEDs and then adding resistors. I have an LED headlight and am looking to get an LED tail light as well, but I'll definitely consider that!

Silicone tape must be black? I’m find some silicone tape in store near the home but it’s transparent it’s doesn’t matter?

Depending on how you wrap, it can take 1 or 2 rolls. I personally use just 1 roll, but I do know guys that use 1.5 or more rolls.

Hey I just ordered a xied for my super glide about to put new pipes on next weekend it's ganna to be just a week or so b4 I can get the 606 air cleaner ..you think it will hurt my bike to run it on stock air cleaner with new pipes an xied ..thanks
