In cosmetology school, I had a girlfriend that just HATED sculpting with gel and she was listing off her issues. So I asked her if she uses a slip layer and she thought I meant a cured base layer, I was like no. So I showed her and she said it changed her life. The slip layer is a MUST when working with gels.

Just remember Susie too much detail on the finger is going to burn when you cure it under the light so you want to cure the first layer first and then you can put the blob on topside will not burn too much

The whole point of the first layer is to provide a slip layer, curing first would ruin the effects

This won’t work for me. I file down, I use acetone to clean, I dry and then I go about as you said and still- before I even get to add a blob, it ushers away from the cuticle and leaves a ridgety line. Why? 😭

And yes believe me the Big blob will stick to the cured gel as long as you don't clean the tacky layer of the one on the bottom the one on the top will stick to it
