This video was graded and uploaded in HDR, with two noise reduction passes. The aliasing is a side effect of the noise reduction, not the TV or camera. On a large HDR display, KZbin compression makes parts of the video look worse (blurry/not sharp) but on phone/MacBook it looks a lot better. KZbin has a long way to go for HDR presentation, but it does show highlight detail better than SDR. If watching this on an SDR display, the highlights will look blown out.

Noise Reduction always going to soften an image , reason why sharpness is applied after. Better exposure would eliminate the need for any noise reduction. A simple light meter will let you know where the issues are if any in your scene.

I saw the aliasing, and I just saw the post about it just now. I was wondering if I was the only one seeing those artifact lol. Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was a camera artifact, but then I thought about it, and was like, I’ve never really seen this before in your videos. Either way, it looked pretty dang good man. It looked a bit soft, but I’m nit picking, and just trying to be constructive. The color, brightness, and detail looked pretty great! Definitely an improvement!!! You did a great job shooting and editing this! Definitely a freaking amazing looking TV too! I just truly wish Samsung would fix the little things that bug us….and I’m glad you’re highlighting this issues, and showing what it actually is doing, and what’s broken. hi classy...first of all, huge praise for your channel...very informative...when an HDR signal is present and you go from static to active and back to static again, the tone curve for static is raised so that the highlights become a little brighter ...you can find out in the xbox hdr settings menu that at 1400 nits the test image disappears completely, which is the maximum nits number of the s95c... you don't need to go to 2000 nits... check that out... thanks and keep it up

Hi Classy, I've seen that in your recent settings videos you always leave rgb range to auto (on the TV and the PS5 which defaults to full rgb), but I read online that on LG oleds (c2) you need to set your TV and your PS5 & PC to RGB limited as these TVs are internally calibrated for limited rgb even on PC Mode. Yo classy have u checked TKK video few days ago about glitch/bug when u switch input from nvidia shield or apple tv to tv input with PC game mode setting. It always bug out cause of conflict of going from 60Hz to 144Hz, dont know if u had same issue, on both S95C and S90C.

When comparing the G3 to S95C, there was a point about the game colour dropping on the G3. However, compared to the S95, the colour looks more true to example videos of the games. Here we can see also see the ASBL dropping the brightness more on the S95C. And we can also see the highlights are more accurate using HGIG on the G3. If looking for an accurate game image, it seems the G3 is the better option.

The variance is high between panels. Maybe try a mild change like -2 red gain and -3 blue gain.

Hi. I got my s95c 2 days ago. First thing I did I copy pasted these settings. I do not know why but I do not nearly get the same picture you do, especially in terms of brightness. Turning off contrast enhancer makes the image so dim I cannot believe. Energy saving settings are off so it cannot be the problem.

No it's not turning off HDR, It's turning off the game HDR setting which is Samsung's name for HGIG. What they call advanced just means it's going to be wildly and accurate with active dynamic tone mapping etc.

@@mrclamg the Sony has undefeatable dimming in gaming. Some S95C have flakey one connect boxes and can cause signal dropouts when in game mode. The S90C does not have this issue, and not all S95C owners have the issue.

I have a S95C and my connect box is still running for like 10-15 mins after I turn my TV off. On standby: I can feel that it's still running (vibrates) & I can feel the heat on the connect box when I put my hand on it. It goes away after 10-15mins. Is this normal?

Setting below 2000 will result in lowering the average brightness level in many games. 1300 can have slightly more detail in some highlights, but not worth the rest of the image being darker imo.

Does anyone here have the same problem? When I play Gran Turismo 7 on the Ps5, the sound stutters from time to time, so it's gone for like half a second and then it's back... happens irregularly. Sadly that's the main issue with the TV. Random blackouts when in game mode. Some have it, some don't.

@@tapersaud it's wide spread enough that a panel exchange most likely will still have the issue. The S90C doesn't have the one connect box and has far less complaints about it. If you can fit the 77in S90C, it's brightness is very close to the S95C.

You can see the part where I had the Mario screen on in the video and switching back and forth how much detail was gained in the original mode. When the colors are oversaturated like that you lose a lot of detail.

Now that I have significant better tv, this is my first time seeing such accurate colors. Think the problem is my eyes are too use to very bright, oversaturated colors

@@GrimReaper86107 give it a few days and you'll adjust. Just make sure you set the contrast to 38 for it, and the shadow detail to -2. The peak brightness and brightness you can put however you want. Also if you are playing tears of the Kingdom that just generally has a lower contrast art style look to it that is a little off-putting.

I forgot what a nightmare it is to navigate Samsung menus. Can anyone please remind me how to access some of these settings? Some of them are greyed out like the gamma setting and the color space.
