I love when you do this style of video, awesome job! I just purchased a my98 wrx last year which I've turned into a little bit of a track car. I've ended up spending nearly 10 grand as some things needed repairing. but I've done clutch, brakes, coilovers with corner weight-(made the biggest difference), ad08r tyres and radiator Upgrade(stock one cracked) next I want to tune it not necessarily for power but for reliability, then I'll properly convert it to rwd(rwd spool,upgrade shafts and put in r180 lsd

Great video... don't know any of the brands of lubs used! Probably well know in AUS. I really like Motul Gear 300 for diff and gearbox, and liquimoly 10w60 for the engine. Love this video, just one question though, Using 4 point harness without cage - isnt that potentially even more dangerous than having simple 3 point seatbelt? I have been discouraged against it when I wanted to put 4point harness on my WRX because some say, if you roll over, the harness holds you so tight it might brake your neck if rolling over?

@atraxr6037 жыл бұрын
Slotted make sense, but drilled rotors are complete waste of time and rotors as they lower your rotor mass which in turn lowers the heat capacity of the rotor. @MsSomeonenew8 жыл бұрын
If you don't bolt the harness to the chassis at the proper angle it is dangerous. You get clowns who half arse their build and just attach them to the seat which can't take the strain so at the first hard crash they would go flying.

Ours met CAMS regulations. it's fine. we do now have a roll cage and bucket seat though

Preping a subaru for the track the first thing should be a rear swaybar, how could you not include that, should be number one to replace the factory coathanger swaybar in the rear. Sorts out a lot of the understeer and is the most transformative suspension modification you can do, and a cheap one at that. He mentions it but only replaces the links which aside from no longer snapping, offer no handling benefits. Those ohlins coilovers are one of the best you can buy for this chassis though so at least it wasn't a cheap set of coilovers, the swaybar would have still done more and cost less despite the coilovers being second hand.
