I've recently become obsessed with houseplants and I quickly ran out of space for various green beauties in my collection. I looked online for plant stands and while I'm sure the commercial offerings will get the job done, most of them look more at home in a greenhouse than in a human house. I really wanted to make something sturdy, beautiful, with an updated aesthetic and what you see here is my first attempt at creating a sleek and modern plant stand. I’m the same exact way. And I dive head first. Guess I need that adrenaline rush of learning something new. Woodworking has always been and will be my passion. But I’ve also gotten into succulents and CNC. Now have been designing flower stands for plants. They are selling like hot cakes. So I can feed my obsession for more plants and more wood. Love to play with my wood. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤦🏻‍♂️

Loved it Marc, and the third version is sooo pretty! Great design itineration :) I KNOW, getting search obsessions - so relatable. Starting new hobbies, suddenly making them part of your work and all you think about. Never paid attention to plants until my apartment and terrace got magically filled with 50 species. I remember you mentioning that you play drums many years ago, not long after my kids convinced me to check out KZbin. That was the early days, before there were 6 billion woodworking channels. I suggested in the comments that you post a drum solo video and you politely declined. 🐔 Anyway, I play drums, too. Building my own kit, or at least a snare or two is on my bucket list. I'd love to see your take on a stave shell snare, or steam bent laminated shell. A whole kit would be really cool, but that would be a crap ton of work.
