@11:16 most flat irons give me the results of your 1st flat iron - a dull sheen, but not smooth and shiny (including the FHI Platform), so yeah, I can definitely see the difference. The only iron that has given me smooth shine is the Croc Infrared. Have you ever tried Croc flat irons?

I move the wand around like that too and it gets my roots straight. I try to comment on other videos where people just let it sit on huge sections or pump up and down, but they don't seem to understand. I don't chase with a comb like you, my fine strands aren't separated enough and would snap off, but I do brush midway while the section is still a little damp and that does well. Love the revair, but my hair needs a break from all the brushing. Great job

Do you ever use a straighten comb when you silk press hair? I got my hair pressed every two weeks from 5 to 16 & she always used a pressing comb. Im asking to learn how it's done by others. Thanks a lot it looks just as silky & bone straight to me as my late hairdresser would press all her other clients & my hair. You did an amazing job.

She probably wrap her hair. In my country ladies do a "tubi" to keep their hair straight. It is like take your hair and turned it around your head keeping it with pins until finished turning all the hair, then put on a special hairnet on and take off all the pin.

@jaylafarmer2622
@jaylafarmer2622 3 жыл бұрын
I can tell you my personal experiences, my mom used to straighten my hair every two weeks for a year or two STRAIGHT. I’ve NEVER had heat damage. My hair was heat trained, but ever since I started doing my own hair completely natural with no heat (4 years+) it’s not heat trained anymore. I have never had a perm or relaxer so I’ve been 100% my whole life. It depends on how well you take care of it, the heat settings & how your hair responds to heat. Hope this helps!
@silviadickey3581
@silviadickey3581 3 жыл бұрын
its easy to train if u find a stylist tht cares about hair. do not go to dominicans if u don't want heat damage, don't use a stylist who does not kno how to regulate how much heat to use on hair; like flatironing at 450° with multiple passes. also if u train the hair, u will lose some of ur curl pattern, as in it may become looser than normal but tht does not mean its damaged. it will also get easier to handle with a less tight curl pattern. make sure to get trims regularly - about every 8 to 10wks - then u can hold out every 3-4mos with a light dusting.
@jaylafarmer2622
@jaylafarmer2622 3 жыл бұрын
Bouncing off of what Silvia said, I wouldn’t suggest getting regular trims in a time slot if you are also trying to retain length. Just trim as needed, I just got my hair straightened after a year and two months of not dusting my ends or straightening my hair & after I straightened it, my ends weren’t bad. So, just make sure you trust or look at your ends before they start cutting!
@mac9733
@mac9733 2 жыл бұрын
Start with blow drying. Then transition to low heat straightening. Increase until your hair can handle 375°, if your hair is thick, then 400°. I do not suggest increasing past that point, but if ever needed, 410° at most. It's all about taking baby steps until you can reach the deep end 😁 Good luck on your journey
