Hi Robbie. I live near Lisburn and tried using your link to Bostonseeds alas only to find they like so many others won't ship to NI. Is there another recommended seed supplier folks in your homeland should get in touch with? I was late with the scarifier and the temperature last night (09 Oct) fell to around 3 Celsius. Am I now too late for overseeding or will I be okay next week when much milder weather is forecast? Many thanks. Peter

Thank you for the link to your old video on fungal diseases a few weeks back, Robbie. One dose of NPK 25-0-0 and seaweed and, tada, now completely fixed. 🎉

I was thinking the same thing trying the scarifier too. I did my yard 2 times yesterday and put a little seed down. Then going to put down compost and more seed then scarify it into the ground. See if that works.

@treed3476 yeah, it's basically what slice seeding machines do. They are scarifiers with drop seeders on them, but only for 50x the price.

If your garden is completely riddled with weeds remove all of the grass and start from scratch. I've done my nans for her and the lawn is unbelievable. In four weeks I had a fresh new full lawn. I've just actually re-leveled it with a load of topsoil and re-seeded all over the top. All within six months. Keep on top of the watering. I used the grass people for seed. And the liquid grow fertiliser.

Great question, I woudn't recomemnd 100 dwarf rye, instead mix in some fescue Fescues are known for their excellent shade tolerance, making them well-suited for north-facing areas with limited sunlight, especially in winter.

Hi there - big fan thanks for your videos. My garden seems to have pretty bad drainage and a lot of clay soil. After watching your videos earlier this year I aerated, scarified, top dressed and seeded my lawn. Results were good. Should I do the same again now in Autumn or wait until next spring? I have noticed a lot of Crane flies around also. Is it ok to put an autumn feed (feed and moss killer) down alongside some Nemotodes? Thanks!!

Just done mine with the same exact westland lawn seeding soil. I got about 1.5 30l bags (so 45l) to about 12m2. So a bag I'd say is about 7m2? Used a compost spreader too. Such a better way to apply 👍

Using a compost roller for laying top soil, how many 30L bags should I need for 200sqm of lawn?

It depends on the material, how dry it is and how dry the lawn is The roller will also play a part too, we work off one bag covering around 12m2, but this can vary

I moved into a House in April this year (Newcastle Co. Down) Front and back "Lawn" was 95% weeds only. By watching your Videos, i managed to repair the Lawn . The smaller front one i killed off all the grass, put new soil , seeds etc. Looking great. The back one i patched it up . The problem is the parts where i pulled out the weeds and filled with new soil and seeds are green and grow fast , the rest is light green/yellow and not growing as fast. Not looking good to be honest.
