Got it today, coming from a Ducky One 2 tkl, this thing feels smoother and omg the transitions on the rgb are phenomenal! Also, I got it because I wanted a white rgb keyboard, Ducky was good though.

I am almost 2 years late but I have the xtrfy k4 and you missed a special custom RGB setting, if you go onto RGB setting 3 and press the same button again, 2 lights will start flashing on the right, now you can press the number buttons and you can change the colours on the keyboard in different "zones" 1-6. So basically, you can have a custom pattern on your keyboard and you can always change it. I'm bad at explaining but it's a very big feature with this keyboard that you missed :) Edit: Typos

Like how the have the LEDs. Hope that means repair might be a little easier if anything were to happen with them. Bummed about the blue LEDs dying on most of the keys for my Logitech G.

You can also create customized zones with the RGB. There are six zones. First turn off the RGB, then hold the FN button and press numerals 1-6. Now all zones should be turn on. Once you done that u can hold down FN again and press on each number between 1-6 repetively til it gives u the color u want in each zone.

The color layout is almost exactly like my Varmillo. Light grey, dark grey and 3 light blue switches (space, enter and esc) my varmilo does not have RGB though - just white lighting... but i dont need it.

I love that ti has a keyboard lock. I know it sounds lie a WTF item but you will quickly learn to love it. Especially if you have cats or kids. I also love it when I want to wipe off my keyboard. It's just a little thing but so nice once you get used to having it.

I have their first Mouse, keyboard AND mousepad and been super happy. I had two LED's go dark on me but when I last week got a new motherboard they started working again, I just noticed it too, not sure how long it had been like that. But now its fine. The mouse needed a firmware update at one point but since then its all been fine. My keyboard has the better caps that wont wear out and become white it seems. But it was also like 200$ new... altho I paid like 70 or 80$ for mine. The mouse pad was what lead me to buy the keyboard and mouse actually because it was so good. That said, probably not much different to other cloth pads out there. I had a steelseries keyboard before this one, my first mech... and the caps was worn out in just a few months and now look terrible. While this one has lasted a year and no sign of wear. Both have cherry mx reds wich I do enjoy alot.

Ordered the Xtrfy K4 White edition a couple of days ago, and was really excited since I've been looking for a white board with ISO layout since forever(2013 or something). I've been using it now for a couple of days, and I must say I really dislike it. The Kailh red switches are VERY inconsistent, some keys rattle, others make weird noises and others just have completely different feel from the rest of them. The search continues I guess. The dream would be a white Filco TKL with ISO layout, but as it seems they simply don't exist.

@@emkaka7676 I got the white one, yes. I like it, I'm not a kb expert but I wouldn't say the keys rattle like the commenter said. The typing is pretty smooth (although I still have to get used to linear switches). It's good to figure out if you prefer linear or tactile switches I guess, but on the other hand I believe you can get used to - and comfortable with - either. The keys DO have a slight ping to them (metallic sound from the springs) and that is a little annoying. But my friend says that is the case with most prebuilt keyboards. It doesn't bother me too much but I could see how it would bother some, if they're very meticulous about their keyboards, those people probably build their own and lube them up themselves. I think it's worth it if you really care that much. The RGB is really smooth though, the keycaps and the shine-through look good. What's less good is the RGB is not particularly customizable imo. They have like 6 different settings but that's it, and no software. But if you want a neat keyboard with smooth RGB and you're not an ocd perfectionist about the sound I think you'd be happy with this one. I'm happy with mine at least. I dont think that im an ocd perfectionist, cause i used to play and type a lot on my logitech g910 and ive heard that the ocd guys think that it is beyond terrible😂 So i think i will probably like the xtrfy k4. Also the ping will probably dont bother me that much, cause most of the time when im on the pc im wearing headphones. I will give you my own thoughts on it when it arrives and thanks again 👊😁

What's retro about the colorway? Seems very contemporary. Cool greys. Some nice beige and the classic font positioning might have made it retro. The white one looks way more retro - without rgb, sure that could be a random keyboard from the 90's.
