Over the years, we've learned that RV life is all about balancing the good and the bad. As we continue our journey on the Alaska Highway, we find another amazing hot spring to soak in. However, our truck camper has been sliding, causing the whole thing to lean sideways. Being in the remote Yukon poses a problem for finding parts, but we were able to MacGyver a solution and hit the road again!

Great video! Glad you fixed the problem with the wheel well and the camper. Thank raven was scary and it did want you cinnamon roll. That was a huge roll. The raven was big too! Hope you have a great week and weekend and travel safe. See you soon!

I think the bird wanted some of your cinnamon roll. And it looked like Carmen would have liked some too.

2003, we built our ExpeditionVehicle on a 1996 Ford CF8000 commercial truck. We engineered the mass between the axles. . Some RVers are comfortable with most of their mass behind the rear axle. Our frame is designed for thirty ton. A light-duty pick-up... not so much.

I don't know anything about truck campers (although they intrigue me), but that's scary! Good video!

We were in those hots springs many years ago in Whitehorse ourselves. Thankfully a friend who we were travelling with, lived there, so he took us on a tour of the area, which was nice, but the Hot Springs for the most part was the highlight! We've driven the Alcan Highway twice now, and I hope we can fit it in again some day, as Alaska itself just has SO much to see! Our first trip was up to Inuvik along the Dempster highway, prior to Alaska, then Alaska afterwards, and seeing the many glaciers was our highlight. Watching Alaskans catching fish was cool as well. Enjoy your trip, and stay safe!

That sounds like an amazing time! We had some folks at the hot springs tell us they went every year. They still liked the facility but they said it was much more natural back in the day. We’d love to do this trip again, we fell totally in love with Alaska!

Thx for showing how u fixed the camper shifting. Giving me an idea, because mine is such a headache as the slightest shift n the tie down rubs on the landing gear foot. Then it sounds like the suspension is going, incredibly loud noise, don't even have enough room to put on snap pads (as i see u guys have). Surprised no inventions out there dealing with this shifting problem, 🫤. And yeah like u Jason, i have the tie downs tight as to tork lifts recommendations, n don't want to tighten them any further 😬. (Oh sigh! Lol) If you came up with another idea, hope u video it! 🍻

This is still the solution for us but Jason has been thinking about those brackets more. We’ll definitely film it if we install those!

I've loved truck campers since I was a kid and used to camp a basic lightweight camperette. Your model is on my list as well as an Eagle Cap 1165 but they way they move around may not be for the faint of heart! The raven is probably used to being fed there lol Oh and if you come back to Canada, Old Dutch chips are the way to go...not Lays!!
