This Isn't What It Was Supposed to Look Like | RV Camping at Lake Louise

In this video, we explore Lake Louise in Banff National Park. We didn't get the picturesque shot we've seen all over social media, but we did get to see a different side of Lake Louise. After managing expectations around the FOMO that comes with balancing exploration and rest days, we decided we wouldn't want our visit to Lake Louise to have been any other way! After Lake Louise, we take a slight detour to do one of the most popular hikes around Banff, and boy, are we glad we did.

Look up Abraham lake it's between lake louse and Jasper putside of the park . Look it up for winter and gas bubbles . That's my favorite lake in Alberta when it freezes especially

Great video! Words can’t describe the scenery. It’s beautiful. The lakes are beautiful. Love the the blue one. It looked like there was a star formed in the lake. Glad you were able to hike up to the falls upper and lower and Carmen made it too! It’s just very beautiful there. I’m from Michigan with lakes around but never seen frozen ones. It would awesome to see. Those can cover were cool. Chairs look ed nice and comfy too! Carmen had one it looked like. She looked cute in the rain coat. She’s a cutie. anyways. The drinking on the long weekend was probably implemented due to young partiers. Just takes 1 to ruin it for all, most likely been damage to the campsite. The legal drinking age in Alberta is 18, most of the other provinces are 19.

Back in the days, instead of fake soft drink coozies to conceal your actual beverage can, we had can wraps made of flexible cling plastic. Due to trademark considerations, the soft drink names were very slightly different, but the can wraps were otherwise identical to their soft drink counter-parts in terms of colors, fonts, etc. The alternative names were kinda funny: Dr. Peeper, 7-Urp, etc. I bought 2 and kept them in my car, in the glove box and I may still have them somewhere stashed away in my apartment. Of course it was and still is (in Washington State, anyways) illegal to have an open container of any kind of alcohol in a moving vehicle, and in short order the can wraps became illegal also. Very nice to see you both on the road again! Makes me jealous!

Haha, yeah the fine print on these (like where they have calories and ingredients) is all funny stuff. So if you did look close, you could definitely tell it wasn't a real can.

Banff, & L.Louise...i always have my wine n wine glasses or coolers at my campsite, they never bothered with us, they r more concerned with a party crowd boozing it up, which i have never seen anyway lol. Johnston canyon my fav hike. So glad u guys really enjoyed your time. 🍻

We went camping in the Smoky Mountains when I was a kid. I saw a small bear up the hill a little way from our camper. My sister locked me out of the camper. And a bird pooped on my head while I was banging on the door. We also got to go see a bear they caught in a trap. It was a big barrel type thing. All you could see was beady eyes. That could have been the other bear I saw mom. Who knows? That was too close for comfort for me. They no longer let you camp where we were at. It was called the Chimney Tops. Because of the bears. They used to trap them and take them farther away. But that was probably their home. That was beautiful where you were. I want to get a camper or motorhome and go exploring. But we have three small dogs. And one gets sick in the car. I’m from Ohio and the only frozen lake I wanted to see was a small one to ice skate on. But I don’t do that anymore. I hate the cold. So I would only want to explore warm places.

This was in mid May of 2023. I'm sure it will still be frozen when you arrive, or just starting to thaw depending on the season they're having.
