How to keep sandwiches soft moist after applying chutney?
@GetCookingNow9 ай бұрын
Maria, You need to apply the Chutney and butter just before serving. Also keep the Sandwiches covered in an airtight container or plastic shrink wrapped bowl or tray if you make them slightly earlier. Hope this helps 🙂

Your recipe looks delicious. Just wanted to know if 2 tablespoons of sugar will be too much? I try to avoid white sugar.
@GetCookingNow Жыл бұрын
Melita, thank you so much, Sorry didn't see your comment as it was posted under someone else's comment. The quantity of sugar mentioned in the recipe will give the exact taste we desire, but you can reduce it if you're trying to avoid sugar or don't like using too much of it. End of the day you need to like the taste not us 😉

I made this chutney today. It's delicious but the colour is not asbright green like yours. How can o achieve this green colour
@GetCookingNow9 ай бұрын
Vanessa D,, The color of the final Chutney will predominantly depend on the color of the coriander leaves, colour of the green chillies and the other ingredients used in the Chutney.
@JeniNaik-nm7fd9 ай бұрын
Also add 2 cube of ice before grinding this will help retain colour
@GetCookingNow9 ай бұрын
Thanks Jeni for the tip, will definitely try it next time. But this generally works when you're making mint chutney. Have never tried it with coriander based Chutney. 🙂

I grind the onions and then the whole mix is cooked in oil. This way the chutney lasts longer. Being a single person I do it this way.
@GetCookingNow10 ай бұрын
Hazel, the taste will be different if you grind raw Onion without cooking as it will turn into onion juice. But if the Onion is cooked before grinding it will have a nice sweet taste. Do try this recipe and let me know your feedback. Also we have mentioned in the video that if you want to keep the Chutney for longer then you need to cook it for some time. 🙂
@hazeldalmeida29210 ай бұрын
@@GetCookingNow okay. I made it today as I learnt from my mother. Will try your version next time. All ingredients are the same except for cooking. Living alone everything lasts for too long. That's why I always give away half.

Why did you fry the onion
@GetCookingNow Жыл бұрын
Marceline, frying the onion will remove the raw taste of onion & give it a sweet somewhat caramelized taste!
