Hi Mindy! I was reading and found out whole Rice has 23g of carbohydrates per 100g, chickpeas and granola have 60+ grams of carbohydrates per 100g, which is almost 3 times. Is it then better to avoid chickpeas and granola and eat the rice and potatoes (of course in fair amounts)?

+mjshaheed You can change up the spices. Instead of using the spices I mentioned, you can try stevia powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, or all spice. A pinch of salt would be good. Chia seeds have zero net carbs so this recipe will give you essentially zero carbs for keto :-)

My oven counts by 5s so I can't preheat to 392*f what do I do?

You can go with 400˚F. It should work!

+Pierre Bouché i keep these in the fridge for 6 to 7 days and I take the amount with me to work or to school. They last well at room temperature for at least 2 days.

The fiber in the chia seeds and the water will slightly stick to the parchment paper.

your suppose to let the chia set for 20 minutes in water. apparently it is healthier that way

Sprouting seeds/nuts are great but this is more for a low carb quick/easy keto snack. You are more than welcome to soak the seeds!

@@lostandfound625 I think the reason for specifically letting chia seeds soak in water is because they naturally expand. If you eat them right away they could start to expand in your stomach and can cause some people issues.

It doesn’t matter how long you soak the seeds. When you bake them they contract again when all the moisture is released. A lot of foods expand in the stomach including dehydrated fruits and vegetables. The times people want to soak their seeds is up to their own discretion. There’s no wrong way to do it.
