@ARegularCommentator it's all subjective. But calling the 90s the golden age makes more sense than calling the decade that birthed hip-hop the golden age. There literally needs to be a presidence before an age can be called "golden". It needs a comparison and there was nothing that came before. Eh, that's my take anyway.

I was just listening to the Andrew Huberman interview with Rick Rubin where he was talking about being Geto Boy's producer... their haunting lyrical style and sound were a big deviation from established hip-hop at the time, a lot of people believe this is where the genre of horrorcore was born. This track is haunting to say the least, a dark look into the true nightmare of drug addiction.

I've wanted to end my life for a long time but now I have a wife and a son and just like the lyrics, if I die my son will be a bastard. This hits deep even if your not living like this. I had cops kicking my doors in, Narcotic Task Force had me number 3 on their list. And I was 17. But I made a lot hustling and I did it without selling poison. Hope this message reaches someone.

They knew how to use the iambic pentometer, they must have had an English literature professor help them with their rap songs they couldn't have done this on their own

@@melissapacheco2598 the album is called We Can't Be Stopped. I liked the album cover where scarface and willie d were pushing bushwick bill on a hospital bed. Bushwick bill was the dopest member of the group in my opinion

PJ don’t gotta listen to the majority of rap. Just whats good to you. Usually the underground guys got that real rap feel. Like crimeapple, Mach hommy, tha god fahim, your old droog, 38 spesh. The list goes on and on. Good rap everywhere. Just not on radio or mainstream waves.

PJ word he’s more mainstream. He’s really good tho. Isaiah Rashad should be dripping some new stuff soon too. I’m hype for that.

This song has always given me chills everytime I hear it. Never fails. Such a raw song of slipping mental health. Wish we still had music like this
