I carry an assortment of different suze bolts with the heads cut off and a slot for a screwdiver to line things like. Plus it keeps the weight off it to. Good job there, keep it up.

Just a couple of ideas, my dad taught us to use some grease to hold gaskets on when you are trying to get parts into place, and a brass taper punch makes lining up holes a whole lot easier when dealing g with heavy parts. Great video, keep up the fight

If you know this please disregard it. I’m sure not trying to tell you your business. Those Denso starters are the best units made. 99.9%of the time when they fail it’s a fast & simple repair. You can pull the three bolts that hold the plate on the starter and you’ll find the two contacts & plunger inside. One contact will be worn through. I have a kit from a company that contains every style contact that Denso uses and new plungers. The plunger doesn’t have to be replaced. It takes about five minutes to replace the contacts and have the machine up and running. As you know, Denso starters are found on everything from Toyota’s to Deere equipment. I was a Toyota mechanic for 30 years and I think I’ve only had to replace one or two whole Denso starters in that time. Hell, I’ve got one old Toyota truck with 650,000 miles that still has the original starter on it. Not sure how many contacts it’s had though. Thanks for the video and you’re right about Commiefornia. There are countless commercial drivers who will no longer cross in that Regime because of the ridiculous regulations.

Plus the truck engines were the only ones that needed to be CARB compliant. So, it didn't make economic sense to go to all the design cost for just the truck engines. It was easier to just drop them from the line. Too bad Mr. Trucker!

Hey warren I have watched and learned a lot from your videos over the last couple years, I having an issue with a 2002 7.3 F350 where it sounds normal when I start it cold but when I start it hot there is a tapping or knocking sound. It starts fine hot/cold just has a strange noise. I know your a busy bee but thought maybe I’d ask if you could give a listen to my videos I uploaded on my channel and give me your two cents worth. When reading online I feel there are so many contradicting views, so I thought I’d ask you as I trust and respect your knowledge and opinion. I’d appreciate it if you have the time and if not I understand. Thanks for all your videos and info you pack into them.

@@adamtheheavyequipmentmechanic - I have been retired for almost a year and a half, and even though I hugely miss my work and co-workers, I don't miss the BS. Just finished an R&R job on a Cummins 1999 5.9L injection pump - runs fine now. One needs to remain busy during retirement to avoid an early demise. I don't care to be like too many of our fellow blue-collar workers who just sit around and then end up ground temperature within five years of retirement. Best thoughts to you.
